Continuous wave (CW) operation of a c-cut Tm (5 at %), Ho (0.3 %):YAP laser 2132 nm wavelength were reported in this paper. In the temperature 77 K, Tm,Ho:YAP crystal was double end-pumped by 21.4 W fiber-coupled diode (LD) center 794.3 nm. Different resonator lengths and output couplers for total pump power tried. The length 205 mm, maximum CW 6.17 acquired, corresponding to an optical-optical conversion efficiency 28.8% slope 35.6%.

A widely tunable narrow linewidth compact erbium-doped all-fiber ring laser with 104 nm tuning range was reported. An Fabry-Perot filter (FFP-TF) used to realize the output, and wavelength at constant voltage had high time stability. We report for the first time to inscribe Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) in Tm3+-doped multimode double-clad silica fiber by 800 nm femtosecond laser with a phase mask. The 1.35 μm period grating is written into core, which responded center wavelength located at nearly 1960 nm. Continuous wave total output power of 11.5 W obtained under launched pump 29.8 W, corresponding slope efficiency 45.0% and conversion 38.6%.

We report on the room-temperature continuous-wave (CW) operation of a Ho:YAlO3 laser that is resonantly end pumped at 1.94 μm by diode-pumped thulium-doped in same host. Through use 1 % Ho3+-doped 20-mm-long YAlO3 crystal (b cut), generated W linearly polarized (E//c) output 2118 nm and 0.55 E//a 2128.5 for an incident pump power 5 W, with coupler transmission 14 3%, respectively. An optical-to-optical conversion efficiency 20% slope 33% were achieved corresponding to power.

We present for the first time a highly efficient Ho:YAP laser at 2117.9 nm, which is double-end inband pumped by two all-fiber Tm-doped fiber lasers 1936 and 1948 nm. Using single 50 mm long rod in simple L-shaped resonator geometry, maximum output power of 10.1 W slope efficiency 43.6% with respect to incident pump are acquired. The crystals work under room temperature 24°C, without any active thermal management. This experimental results verify can be versatile sources 1.9 μm regions.
