The increasing demand and consumption of cement have necessitated the use slag, fly ash, rice husk ash (RHA), so forth as a supplement in concrete construction. aim study is to develop zero-cement binder (Z-Cem) using RHA combined with chemical activator. NaOH, Ca(OH) 2 , KOH were used varying weights molar concentrations. Z-Cem was tested for its consistency, setting time, flow, compressive strength, XRD, SEM, FTIR. consistency time paste increase content. mortar requires more...
This study explores the enhancement of corrosion protection properties in urethane acrylate UV-curable coatings derived from palm oil through incorporation graphene oxide particles (GOP). GOP were added into oil-based (POBUA) using a sonication technique. The performance POBUA with influence was determined Thermal Gravimetric analysis (TGA) and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM). Meanwhile, testing confirmed by electrochemical Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS)....
Abstract This study focuses on the improvement of square jacketing technique in effective restrengthening existing RC building column. Square can’t effectively provide lateral confinement due to stress concentration and subsequent cracking at corners. In order overcome this problem, two different approaches are taken into account; i.e. (a) strengthen all corners, (b) reducing concentrations Three types techniques under these considered study. Test results crack pattern shows that, both...
Although metallic nanocatalysts such as palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs) are known to possess higher catalytic activity due their large surface-to-volume ratio, however, in nanosize greatly reducing aggregation. To overcome this challenge, superparamagnetic chitosan-coated manganese ferrite was successfully prepared and used a support for the immobilization of above-mentioned challenge. The Pd-Chit@MnFe2O4 catalyst exhibited high 4-nitrophenol 4-nitroaniline reductions, with respective...
Abstract In this study, hydrogels of poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) with different cross-link density were prepared by the free-radical polymerization method. l -Cystine, which acts as a cross-linker, was at concentrations, ranging from 0.02 to 0.08 mol/l, identify concentration that provided highest mechanical strength and healing efficacy. Healing achieved heating above their glass transition temperature. Intermolecular diffusion dangling chain or slippage led gels. Results showed 0.04...
The objective of the current study was to develop parameters for separation palmitic acid (PA) from a crude palm oil saturated fatty (SFAs) mixture by using methanol crystallization method. conditions were optimized response surface methodology (RSM) with D-optimal design. procedure developing solvent method based on various different parameters. composition carried out gas chromatography flame ionization detector (GC-FID) as methyl esters. highest percentage SFAs more than 96% yield 87.5%...
Synthetic materials that are capable of healing upon damage being developed at a rapid pace because their many potential applications. Here, new chemically cross-linked hydrogel poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (pHEMA) was prepared. The achieved by heating above its glass transition (T g ).The intermolecular diffusion dangling chain and the slippage led to gel.The peaks in attenuated total reflectance (ATR) confirmed formed while rheological studies had determined minimum for temperature is...
A clear understanding on the fundamental mechanism in solid state self-healing resin system might significantly improve optimization of healing performance. The focus this study was to prove diffusion (through thermal interdiffusion) a linear agent within network matrix resin. The results had demonstrated that 45 21 percentage recoveries fracture toughness (K 1C ) were observed third cycles healable resin.Based optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and time-of-flight secondary...
In this study, hydrogels of poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) with different healing temperature were studied on efficacy self-healing hydrogel. To identify the optimum healable hydrogel which give highest efficacy, sample tested from 45°C-65°C for 5 hours. The gel being cut will merge together through intermolecular diffusion dangling chain and/or slippage. results showed that 60°C was provides ultimate tensile strength efficacy. pictures durability poly(HEMA) taken and supported behavior
An alternative way of preparing a newly robust and low fragility the Pleurotus ostreatus (oyster mushroom) cultivation media is needed as this major problem occurred during harvesting recyclability. Thus, P. mushroom in form blocks bound together with starch using different tapioca flour binder concentration 5%, 10% 25% (w/v) was evaluated for method development. How block material affects biological efficiency (BE) its vegetative growth on were identified. The optimized composition...
Carboxylmethyl cellulose (CMC) is extracted from empty fruit bunches of oil palm, which usually comes industrial waste. The focus this research to recycle the palm tree produce a food product noodles. In research, noodles were produced commercialized CMC (0 – 2%) by using 15 different formulations with types flour such as high protein flour, wheat and low provides an added factor improve texture. Proximate, physicochemical analysis sensory test conducted in order determine noodle’s nutrient...
The solid state self-healing system was obtained by employing a thermosetting epoxy resin, into which thermoplastic is dissolved. aim of this study to investigate the homogeneous and heterogeneous using thermoplastics comprised poly(bisphenol-A-co-epichlorohydrin) (PDGEBA), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), alcohol (PVA), polyethylene (PE) polypropylene (PP) as healing agents. PDGEBA produced homogenous resin blend undergone random molecule diffusion process. A composed 8 wt.% PVC, PVA PE, PP,...
