Abstract The NiTi shape memory alloys have been known from their application in medicine for implants as well parts of medical devices. The NiTi alloy (50.6 at.% Ni) passivated for 30 min at 130°C by autoclaving has been studied towards corrosion resistance in aqueous solutions of 3% NaCl, 0.1 M H 2 SO 4 , 1 and HBSS. In this study, the electrosynthesis method of zinc oxide films on NiTi shape memory alloy substrate from acetate solution, has been studied. The optimum conditions for production ZnO thin were found at a voltage 20 V 60 s. Experimental data presented deposition process, structure and composition films. It was that depending parameters, obtained varies amorphous to coarse-grained. ascertained examined appears as useful surface modification towards biomedical applications.

The surface of NiTi shape memory was modified by deposition chitosan-ZnO thin film.The electrodeposition process carried out at room temperature voltage-time conditions: 10 V/30 s, V/300 20 or s.Structure the obtained coatings studied means grazing incidence beam X-ray diffraction.Distribution zinc oxide particles in chitosan matrix observed with use scanning electron microscopy.It found that depending on parameters, structure varies from amorphous to coarse-grained.
