We have studied the physico-chemical properties of high internal oil in water (o/w) emulsions, stabilized by synergistic interaction between hydrophobin and clay. As an emulsifying agent with biological background we used H Star Protein® B (HPB). Its partner, Laponite XLG, is a synthetic layered silicate. One to one aqueous mixtures HPB XLG resulted homogeneous emulsions mass fraction Φ 0.65 PDMS. When separately, both systems form unstable o/w emulsions. Moreover rheological measurements...
Aqueous solutions containing sodium lauryl ether sulphate (SLES) and cocamidopropyl Betaine (CAPB) with a constant total surfactant concentration (10 wt%) but different volume mixing ratios were prepared. A remarkable increase in the solutions' viscosity at ratio of 34 v/v% SLES to 66 CAPB was observed. By increasing (r-value) binary mixture, 10 wt% SLES, which is close that water, increases maximum, then drops down drastically high r values (>45 v/v%). The maximum (Vmax) 2.8 Pas, whereas...
Retroviral proteases have been shown previously to be only active as homodimers. They are essential form the separate and proteins from viral precursors. Spumaretroviruses produce precursors for Gag Pol, rather than a Gag-Pol precursor. Nevertheless, processing of Pol into PR (protease)-RT (reverse transcriptase) integrase is in order obtain infectious particles. We showed recently that PR-RT simian foamy virus, well PRshort (protease) domain, exhibit proteolytic activities, although...
The emphasis of this manuscript is on emulsions with gel-like properties based biotechnically produced hydrophobins. These are compared to surfactants. Even though the preparation conditions for both emulsion types were same, structure and very different. Homogeneous, could be obtained a protein concentration between 0.02 1 wt% an oil mass fraction more than 0.65. gelified state formed because protein-covered droplets behave like sticky spheres even when globules ionically charged long range...
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) literacy and data into school education is increasingly proposed in educational frameworks, leading to an urgent need train computer science teachers AI literacy. However, there a lack professional development programs for these skills. To fill this gap, we developed training concept evaluated it with from Germany, Austria, Lithuania three sessions. In the following, present selected evaluation results.
The highly structured nature of the educational sector demands effective policy mechanisms close to needs field. That is why evidence-based making, endorsed by European Commission under Erasmus+ Key Action 3, aims make an alignment between domains and practice. Against this background, article addresses two issues: First, that there a vertical gap in translation higher-level policies local strategies regulations. Second, horizontal regarding awareness individual players. This was analyzed...
