Designing high-performance hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalysts is crucial for seawater splitting. Herein, we demonstrate a facile Anderson-type polyoxometalate-assisted synthesis route to prepare defect-rich doped 1T/2H-MoSe2 nanosheets. As demonstrated, the optimized nanosheets display low overpotentials of 116 and 274 mV gain 10 mA cm-2 in acidic simulated HER, respectively. A magnesium (Mg)/seawater battery was fabricated with nanosheet cathode, displaying highest power density up...

Carbon-based nanomaterials (CNMs) have recently been found in humans raising a great concern over their adverse roles the hosts. However, our knowledge of vivo behavior and fate CNMs, especially biological processes elicited by gut microbiota, remains poor. Here, we uncovered integration CNMs (single-walled carbon nanotubes graphene oxide) into endogenous flow through degradation fermentation, mediated microbiota mice using isotope tracing gene sequencing. As newly available source for...

Abstract Nickel‐based catalysts are recognized as a promising alternative to platinum‐based for the alkaline hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR) yet suffer from poor stability and relatively low activity. Herein, nitrogen ligand‐assisted approach is reported encapsulate nickel‐copper nanoparticles within few carbon layers, by modulating core shell components/structure, charge distribution in nanostructures can be finely regulated. The optimized Ni 93 Cu 7 @NC catalyst exhibits outstanding HOR...

Deep brain stimulation technology enables the neural modulation with precise spatial control but requires permanent implantation of conduits. Here, we describe a photothermal wireless deep nanosystem capable eliminating α-synuclein aggregates and restoring degenerated dopamine neurons in substantia nigra to treat Parkinson’s disease. This (ATB NPs) consists gold nanoshell, an antibody against heat-sensitive transient receptor potential vanilloid family member 1 (TRPV1), β-synuclein (β-syn)...

Abstract Innovating nanocatalysts with both high intrinsic catalytic activity and selectivity is crucial for multi‐electron reactions, however, their low mass/electron transport at industrial‐level currents often overlooked, which usually leads to comprehensive performance the device level. Herein, a Cl − /O 2 etching‐assisted self‐assembly strategy reported synthesizing self‐assembled gap‐rich PdMn nanofibers highway greatly enhancing electrocatalytic reforming of waste plastics currents....

Cellular uptake and exocytosis of SWCNTs are fundamental processes determining their intracellular concentration effects. Despite the great potential acid-oxidized in biomedical field, understanding influencing factors on these needs to be deepened. Here, we quantitatively investigated three lengths-630 (±171) nm (L-SWCNTs), 390 (±50) (M-SWCNTs), 195 (±63) (S-MWCNTs) macrophages. The results showed that cellular accumulation was a length-independent process non-monotonic time, with most...

Molybdenum oxides have been regarded as promising non-noble metal electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) due to their low cost, nontoxicity, and chemical stability. However, promoting the intrinsic catalytic activity of molybdenum is crucial achieving high HER performance. Herein, we demonstrate that Ni-doped triggered via a thermal treatment induced phase engineering strategy. The overpotential at 10 mA cm–2 decreases from 493 mV (1 M KOH) 818 (seawater) over trioxide...

The blood circulation is considered the only way for orally administered nanoparticles to enter central nervous systems (CNS), whereas non-blood route-mediated nanoparticle translocation between organs poorly understood. Here, we show that peripheral nerve fibers act as direct conduits silver nanomaterials (Ag NMs) from gut CNS in both mice and rhesus monkeys. After oral gavage, Ag NMs are significantly enriched brain spinal cord of with particle state however do not efficiently blood. Using...
