Several lines of evidence suggest that a number immunoactive cytokines participate in early reproductive events such as implantation and placental development. Furthermore, may influence embryo growth differentiation. In the present study, production tumour necrosis factor (TNF), interleukin-1 (IL1), interleukin-6 (IL6) transforming factor-beta (TGF beta) during first 48 h after oocyte retrieval in-vitro fertilization was investigated. addition, question raised whether soluble receptors...

<title>Abstract</title> The prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease neuropathological changes (ADNC), the leading cause cognitive impairment, remains uncertain. Recent blood-based biomarkers enable scalable assessment ADNC. Here, we measured phosphorylated tau at threonine 217 in 11,486 plasma samples from a population-based cohort individuals &gt;57 years. ADNC increased with age, 10% people 58-69.9 years to 64.9% those over 90. In 70+ population, 11.4% had preclinical AD, 10.8% prodromal and...

We have developed an insemination method using a large (4 ml) volume of the inseminate. This incorporates ovarian stimulation, isolation optimal number motile spermatozoa and, finally, Fallopian tube sperm perfusion (FSP). In clinical study, 139 couples with various causes infertility, had total 239 treatment cycles. The pregnancy rate per in groups endometriosis, ovulation disorders, tubal impairment, combined male and female factors subnormal quality were low, ranging from 2.7% to 7.7%....

Summary. The toxicity of different metals on isolated Sertoli cells grown in culture has been investigated. Methyl mercury (CH3HgCl) and chloride (HgCl2) were more toxic than cadmium (CdCl2) which was slightly arsenic (As2O3). Isolated peritubular equally sensitive to cadmium. Cadmium reduced the cell survival over concentration range 1–10 μm. Freeze-etch electron microscopy cadmium-exposed revealed circular areas average diameter 500 nm devoid intramembrane particles nuclear membrane,...

Homogenates of normal or cryptorchid, human testes were incubated with [3H]testosterone and a NADPH-generating system. [3H]4-andostene,7 alpha,17 beta-diol-3-one (7 alpha-OH-testosterone) was isolated identified from such incubations.
