This study investigated the viability of coating commercially pure titanium (CPTi) surfaces, modified via sandblasting and acid etching, with hydroxyapatite (HA)/tricalcium phosphate coatings using a simulated body fluid (SBF) solution. The samples were immersed in SBF from 3 to 7 days. morphology chemistry HA/tricalcium then analysed. Prior immersion SBF, sandblasted etched mimic roughness available dental implants. aided formation crystalline on all samples. uniform had values higher than...
Intraradicular moisture is not standardized and alters the sealing properties adhesion of root sealers. The aim this work was to evaluate effect different on constitution bioceramic sealers. The sealers were evaluated before mixing, after setting using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Energy Dispersive Analysis (EDX) Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) techniques. Twenty four extracted teeth prepared assigned groups according conditions: (1) dry: ethanol as final irrigation, (2) normal: paper points...
Lithium disilicate are commonly used in dental restoration due to its aesthetic and mechanical performance. However, the patent expiration of IPS emax system has led emergence other variations system. Data studies concerning properties these recent lithium disilicate-based CAD/CAM scarce it warrants for an investigation provide scientific evidence support routine use. The aim this study was investigate compare blocks from four different brands. Four brands were investigated; emax, Mazic...
Objectives . To evaluate the push-out bond strength of experimental apatite calcium phosphate coated gutta-percha (HAGP) compared to different commercially available root obturation points. Methods Extracted teeth were selected and instrumented using ProTaper rotary files. The canals assigned into five equal groups obturated matching single cone technique as follows: EndoREZ cones sealer, Bioceramic Endosequence (BCGP) with BC Active GP sealer (ActiV GP), conventional HAGP sealer. Each was...
Morphological surface modifications have been reported to enhance the performance of biomedical implants. However, current methods introducing graded porosity involves postprocessing techniques that lead formation microcracks, delamination, loss fatigue strength, and, overall, poor mechanical properties. To address these issues, we developed a microwave sintering procedure whereby pure titanium powder can be readily densified into implants with in single step. Using this approach, topography...
Abstract Development of alternatives bone wax to stop blood transfusion occurred in cancellous injury is highly deserved clinically. An ideal candidate supposed be not only biodegradable, biocompatible, malleable, and cost‐effective, but also have comparable mechanical strength bone. In the present work, calcium sulfate cement ( CSC ) based composites modified with hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose HPMC or sodium alginate SA were prepared. brief, was combined 2, 4, 6 wt.% , respectively,...
Dental Gutta-percha (GP) is a polymer based standard root canal filling material that has been widely used in dentistry. However, it an inadequate sealing ability and adhesion to dentin. The aim of this study coat GP with bioactive enhance its the sealer subsequently choice coating method limited by nature as requires technique not governed high temperatures or uses organic solvents. In study, biomimetic using 1.5 Tas-simulated body fluids (SBF) was employed treated cones. coated samples...
The objective of this study is to investigate the effect sandblasting and acid etching on surface roughness morphology pure titanium alloy compare their relative contribution. Both these samples were first sandblasted then etched using HCL H 2 SO 4 for different duration temperature. results indicated that value increased after while opposite occurred alloy. It suggested decrease due significant over protective oxide layer
10 and 40 wt% Co/Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT) Co/Santa Barbara Amorphous-15 (SBA-15) catalysts were prepared via incipient wetness impregnation method. It was characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy, BET, X-ray Diffractometry (XRD), Transmission Microscopy (TEM), Temperature-Programmed Reduction H 2 Desorption. A 200 ml hastelloy autoclave reactor implemented to see the performance of catalysts. observed that Co/SBA-15 higher other in terms production longer chain paraffins.
This study compared the chemical and physical properties of an experimental radiopaque white Portland cement (REPC) with reduced particle size to ProRoot mineral trioxide aggregate (WMTA). The distribution (EPC) was examined, then nano-zirconium oxide (nano-ZrO) added produce REPC. Chemical analysis, initial setting time, pH values, push-out bond strength were evaluated. Results showed that REPC had smallest (354.5±26.45 nm), while PC largest (1,309.67±60.54 nm) (p<0.05). Differences in...
