Abstract A huge increase in the magnetization of two coordination chains based on tetravalent octacyanidometalates (W IV and Mo ) is observed irradiation with 436 nm light, while no such behavior for Nb analogue. photomagnetic response solely [W (CN) 8 ] 4− demonstrated first time. The attributed to light‐induced excited spin state trapping (LIESST) effect at octacyanidometalate, resulting magnetic exchange ON/OFF photoswitching between Mn II center photoinduced high‐spin ( S =1) W or centers.
Self-assembly of lanthanide(III) complexes 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine (terpy) with dicyanidoargentate(I) and dicyanidoaurate(I) anions in water results the formation six isostructural dinuclear systems [LnIII(terpy)(H2O)(NO3)2][MI(CN)2] (LnIII/MI = Dy/Ag, 1; Dy/Au, 2; Yb/Ag, 3; Yb/Au, 4; Er/Ag, 5; Er/Au, 6). They form three-dimensional supramolecular networks based on molecules linked by hydrogen bonds, π–π interactions, argentophilic (Ag···Ag) or aurophilic (Au···Au) interactions. All...
Solid refrigerants exhibiting a caloric effect upon applying external stimuli are receiving attention as one of the next-generation refrigeration technologies. Herein, we report new inorganic refrigerant, rubidium cyano-bridged manganese-iron-cobalt ternary metal assembly (cyano-RbMnFeCo). Spin-transition compounds are coordination complexes that can present two stable or metastable high-spin and low-spin states at a given temperature (thermal hysteresis). The width of the thermal hysteresis (difference between maximum minimum which compound exhibits bi-stability) depends on interactions within compound, may be modulated by absence presence solvent structure. new [Fe(3-bpp)2 ][Au(CN)2 ]2 (1, 3-bpp=2,6-di-(1H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine) was synthesized its properties were compared...
The photoinduced properties of the octacoordinated complex K4 MoIV (CN)8 ⋅2 H2 O were studied by theoretical calculations, crystallography, and optical magnetic measurements. crystal structure recorded at 10 K after blue light irradiation reveals an heptacoordinated Mo(CN)7 species originating from light-induced cleavage one Mo-CN bond, concomitant with formation a paramagnetic signal. When this is heated to 70 K, it returns its original diamagnetic ground state, demonstrating full...

A reveals near-infrared emission (NIR) centred at about 895 1056 nm, 10-370 K temperature range, originating from emissive transitions on Nd(iii) 4F3/2 to 4I9/2 4I11/2 levels, respectively....
In this paper, for the first time, influence of BaTiO3 particles on antiferroelectric liquid crystalline phase was shown. Low concentrations and two different sizes (nano- submicroparticles) were used. It found that admixture ferroelectric causes a decrease in concentration free ions crystal matrix. Despite small amount admixture, spontaneous polarization, switching time rotational viscosity, observed, while tilt angle molecules smectic layer thickness did not change. turns out have very...

Abstract The development of multifunctional oriented polar crystals combining diverse optical, nonlinear and magnetic phenomena are desirable. Two enantiomorphic assemblies [Yb III (TPPO) 3 (NCE) ] (E = S (“ YbS ”), Se YbSe ”); TPPO triphenylphosphine oxide) prepared. Both crystallites show ultralow‐frequency (ULF) Raman scattering for molecular materials with a value 16 cm −1 (0.48 THz), originating from collective vibrations the ligand pseudohalides, which is supported by ab initio...
Abstract Molecular crystals acting as temperature sensors, designed for multiple measurement techniques, can be a promising pathway self‐calibrating thermometers. The molecular assemblies [Dy x III Y 1–x (phen) 2 (μ‐OH) (H O) ]·[Au I (SCN) ] ·phen·0.5MeCN·0.5H O ( = 0, 0.1, 0.02; phen 1,10‐phenanthroline) which contain weakly bonded lanthanide(III) and Au(I) metal complexes are reported. They have Raman scattering in the low‐frequency (LF) region with sharp peaks, one of prerequisites to...
