Cation exchange-high performance liquid chromatography (CE-HPLC) is most commonly used to evaluate hemoglobin (Hb) variants, which elute in the Hb A2 window. This study aimed assess prevalence of an uncommon variant, D-Iran, and compare its red cell parameters peak characteristics with those E that elutes window.Generally, we abnormal using CE-HPLC as primary technique along alkaline acid electrophoresis. All cases window >9%, assessed by CE-HPLCs during 2009-2013, were selected.Twenty-nine...

Background & objectives: Diagnosis of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) is subjective in low-grade cases with <5 per cent blasts or <15 ring sideroblasts. Flow cytometry (FCM) has been used to diagnose MDS; but, it still only an adjunctive role. This study was conducted evaluate the role FCM MDS and correlate number aberrancies revised international prognostic scoring system (R-IPSS). Methods: included 44 consecutive clinically suspected refractory cytopenia(s) 10 controls. Patients...

ABSTRACT Leishmaniasis , caused by the protozoan parasite Leishmania transmitted through infected sandfly bites, manifests in various clinical forms, including visceral leishmaniasis (VL), a severe condition prevalent developing countries like India. Treatment failure is known complication VL patients. This case report details unique of treatment 56-year-old male. The patient’s 8-month medical journey involved diagnostic dilemmas, hospitalisations and failed treatments, reflecting challenges...

Synchronous diagnosis of two different haematological malignancies a non-Hodgkin lymphoma and multiple myeloma (MM) is very rare. We report the case coexistence low-grade B-cell MM. The patient was 79-year-old male who presented with severe transfusion-dependent anaemia had all CRAB features. Bone marrow flow cytometry revealed lymphocytes plasma cells which both expressed light chain restrictions showing kappa lambda chain. Serum protein electrophoresis an immunoglobulin G band 1.42 g/dl....
Introduction: The platelet function disorders remain largely undiagnosed or incompletely diagnosed in developing nations due to lack of availability tests like lumiaggregometry, granule release assay molecular testing. We performed a retrospective analysis all the test (PFT) carried out past 5 years by Light transmission aggregometery (LTA) using panel agonist. indications and results were analyzed two hematopathologist with aim look into present diagnostic facilities it for...

Hematogone hyperplasia is seen in many reactive and neoplastic conditions such as autoimmune cytopenia(s), post viral infections, Hodgkin/ Non Hodgkin lymphoma, acute myeloid leukaemia, chemotherapy or stem cell transplant bone marrow. However, occasionally a marked process like hematogone can mask an important underlying morphology. It further compounded cases where the diagnostic cells are few number. Clinching diagnosis becomes increasingly difficult.

Introduction: Serum Free Light Chain (sFLC) assay has a major role in the screening, diagnosis and monitoring patients with Multiple Myeloma (MM). Measuring involved (iFLC) proven advantage due to short half-life compared that of M-protein, thus useful as prognostic tool for assessment response therapy. It is established achieving VGPR (very good partial response) or better after induction chemotherapy associated OS (overall survival) PFS (progression free myeloma patients. Few studies have...
