Abstract Short-term optimization of an oil field has been used to increase economic value recovery as compared reactive control (shutting the well when water cut limit is reached, for instance), especially in case short-term production strategies. One way improve management a involves adjusting flow rates over short time, maximizing overall NPV during life cycle field. Using intelligent wells (IW), challenges include not only rates, but also simultaneous adjustment each valve, controlling...

Abstract Intelligent wells can improve oil recovery, mitigate risks and avoid unnecessary well intervention in petroleum fields. However, there is no consolidated methodology to evaluate the applicability of intelligent represent them commercial simulators, which complicates comparison with conventional wells. Moreover, are two main modes operation valves, reactive proactive; each one provide different benefits. In general, proactive control seeks maximum but it requires larger computational...

The closed-loop optimization paradigm of an oil field can increase recovery and reduce water production, maximizing economic gains. One way to improve the management a involves designing optimal production strategies by means dynamically adjusting flow rates or bottom-hole pressures over reservoir life-cycle operation. A major difficulty occurs in optimizing all wells, according constraint along field. These control are often difficult be realized practice due large number variables adjusted...

Abstract Carbonated reservoirs with high percentage of CO 2 have been discovered and produced in the Brazilian pre-salt cluster. Recovery techniques, such as -WAG, hence evaluated applied, Lula field. Although studies demonstrate advantages this technique, it is still difficult to estimate an increase oil recovery. Thus, work presents a methodology evaluate impacts main phenomena that occur how recycling can benefit management these fields. The results showed recovery modeling relative...

Boron-doped carbon nanotubes have been prepared by chemical vapour deposition of ethyl alcohol doped with B2O3 using a hot-filament system. Multi-wall diameters in the range 30 – 100 nm observed field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). Raman measurements indicated that degree C-C sp2 order decreased boron doping. Lowest threshold fields achieved were 1.0 V/μm and 2.1 for undoped boron-doped samples, respectively.

The optimisation of well rates an oil field can increase recovery and reduce water production, maximising production life-cycle economic gains. A way to improve the management involves designing optimal strategies by dynamically adjusting wells flow under constraints platform. In this way, we have tested some options control available in a commercial simulator. These assessments were made two ways: 1) with default parameters formulas used these controls; 2) hybrid each type control. We...
