We report a case of delayed pneumothorax, central venous catheter migration and iatrogenic hydrothorax in 22‐year‐old female. The left subclavian initially transfixed the lung apex; pneumothorax occurred 24 h later following initiation positive pressure ventilation. Lung collapse as result caused hydrothorax. Catheter removal chest drainage led to an uneventful recovery.
