We report photoelectron energy spectra, momentum, and angular distributions for the strong-field single ionization of lithium by 30-fs laser pulses. For peak intensities between ${10}^{11}$ ${10}^{14}$ W/cm${}^{2}$ at a central wavelength 785 nm, classical over-the-barrier intensity was reached well inside multiphoton regime. The complete vector momenta fragments were recorded reaction microscope with magneto-optically trapped target (MOTREMI). On theoretical side, time-dependent...

Using 22 Na as a radiotracer, mobilities of sodium ions in various types SiO 2 glasses were measured and found to depend on the OH content silica network. Increasing considerably reduces mobility. The effect immobilization is discussed terms an interaction between hydrogen ions, similar “mixed‐alkali effect” alkali silicate glasses. High OH‐containing , structures display lowest diffusivities either or thus indicating properties which are preferential practice, such decreasing ionic...

We present measurements of resistive and sympathetic cooling ion clouds confined in a Penning trap. For cloud consisting one species, we observe significant deviation from exponential behavior which is explained by an energy-transfer model. The observed simultaneously species shows quadratic dependence on the charge state hence agreement with expectations physics dilute non-neutral plasmas.

In the HITRAP facility at GSI it is planned to store 105 highly charged ions up U92+ in a cryogenic Penning trap and cool them down 4 K via electron resistive cooling. During cooling process ion density increases characteristics of cloud are increasingly determined by Coulomb interactions. We present parallel algorithm for simulation clouds cylindrical traps.
