Background and Objective . Evidence for the roles of matrix metalloproteinases-9 (MMP-9) in healing process diabetic foot ulcers has remained unclear. We therefore aimed to demonstrate relationship MMP-9 with wound determine its potential usefulness predicting outcome. Methods Twenty-two patients ulcer were recruited. The size was determined, fluid collected measurement levels using an ELISA during 12-week follow-up period regularly. categorized as good healers poor when area reduction ≥ 50%...

Objectives: The mechanism of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and their tissue inhibitors (TIMPs) in diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) is unclear. purpose this study was to describe changes MMP-1, MMP-9, TIMP-1 levels during DFU healing, search for any correlation the MMP with wound order find possible predictors healing. Methods: Patients a were recruited placed into two groups, according degree healing: ‘good healers’ ‘poor healers’. Levels analysed by ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay)....

Abstract We develop the HLA‐B27 test kit using PCR‐SSP technique. Five hundred forty blood samples were tested for by microlymphocytotoxicity (LCT) and PCR‐SSP. It was found that 127 (23.5%) 134 (24.8%) of these positive LCT PCR‐SSP, respectively. The sensitivity specificity 94.8 100%, respectively, when as standard method. predictive value negative 98.3%, a concordance rate 98.7%. This study shows is simple, convenient, more cost‐effective in‐house kit.

Thalassemia, common in Thailand, varies from mild to severe anemia, resulting work inefficiency, particularly during exertion. Therefore, it is important for military cadets be screened. The objective of this study was screen thalassemia and hemoglobinopathies among Royal Thai Army medical cadets. We tested 358 third-year complete blood count, red cell indices, hemoglobin (Hb) typing, inclusion bodies, Hb A2, E. DNA analysis confirmed alpha-thalassemia, trait detection. E the most frequent,...

Background: Circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA) is a biomarker for various clinical applications, including detecting and monitoring cancer. However, blood collection tubes can affect the yield quality of cfDNA. Since specific cfDNA are costly, K2EDTA K3EDTA anticoagulant alternatives in routine laboratories. Objectives: This study aimed to compare efficiency extraction from plasma collected evaluate implementation molecular diagnostics. Methods: Blood samples 38 healthy subjects were that...

Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E)-stained slides inevitably deteriorate over time, frequently becoming unreadable. Reutilizing these can reduce the need for additional serial sections, particularly when target region is no longer available in tissue block. This study aims to develop efficient protocols recycling faded H&E-stained slides, providing benefits future research on stored samples. Seventy-one representing a variety of types pathologies, were randomly divided into two groups....

A comparison study is crucial before launching a new medical device; therefore, we compared the Mission Ultra Hb Testing System with Sysmex XN-3000 automated hematology analyzer in Thai adult males and non-pregnant females.Parallel studies were conducted using discarded venous K2-ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid samples from participants requiring hematological investigations. According to World Health Organization criteria, categorized as overall, anemia, non-anemia for analysis.Three...
