Black fruits, especially blackberries and black currants, are highly appreciated by consumers due to their nutraceutical properties, which have reported health benefits. This study aimed assess the fruit quality of blackberry (cv. ‘Čačanska Bestrna’) currant Crna’) created at Fruit Research Institute, Čačak (Republic Serbia) evaluating basic parameters (fruit weight, soluble solids), content primary (sugars organic acids) secondary (phenolic compounds) metabolites. Additionally, examined...

Raspberry (Rubus idaeus L.) cultivar Willamette has long been the most commonly grown raspberry in Serbia, which is owing to high adaptability of respective agro-environmental conditions. Massive dieback full bearing plantings a major problem growing hence quality planting material must when establishing new plantings. The study was conducted under protected conditions (in screenhouse) on plants obtained by micropropagation vitro. In order achieve optimal vegetative potential, were for two...

The main objective of this study was to investigate and compare the effects fertilizer types on counts soil microorganisms, mineral leaf composition, productivity three strawberry cultivars in period 2012–2013. Two fertilizers were applied—mineral microbiological. Significantly higher number Azotobacter, ammonifiers, oligonitrophils, total microbial count observed under biofertilizers treatment. fungi actinomycetes obtained treatment, compared other treatments. use led most favorable balance...

In order to preserve the quality of apple fruit, it is crucial choose most suitable storage technology. Nevertheless, also important maintain apples during shelf life period. this study, changes in various biochemical parameters ‘Golden Delicious’ and ‘Idared’ a prolonged period, after conventional normal atmosphere (NA) ultra-low oxygen (ULO) storage, were investigated. After harvest, fruit examined cultivars stored two atmospheres for six months. Weight loss, content sugars, organic acids,...

Intensive agricultural development based on the long-term and excessive use of chemical nitrogen fertilizers significantly contributes to a series undesirable effects results in environmental pollution. In line with above, there is pressing need for major changes production management. Bearing mind that fertilization strategy, among other practices, plays an important role improving growing technology different fruit crops, we considered above mentioned problems could be overcome by...

Over the 3-year period of study (2005–2007) effects fertigation on vegetative potential, fruit properties, and production apple cultivars Idared Wilmuta were investigated. Fertigation measures, mainly applied over second part growing season, when growth is brought to a close, had positive effect these parameters. Cultivar was more productive. Its fruits larger ripe fertigated in comparison with control cultivar. responded similarly fertigation.
