The sorption properties of waste facade, brick, and asphalt sample towards Sr(II), Co(II), Ni(II) ions from single multicomponent solutions were investigated. highest capacity was found for ions, while the most effective sorbent facade. Simplex Centroid Mixture Design used in order to investigate processes with different composition as well competition between cations. Based on statistical analysis results, equations data modeling proposed. According observations, investigated solid matrices...

The modern way of life and aspiration for faster technological development creates increasing problems related to waste quantities management. Waste management is a complex process due the constant danger environment through pollution air, water soil as well human health. Lack quantity, composition location informations makes disposal categorization more difficult, its recycling or reuse. Industrialization society irrational usage natural resources increases amount waste, which need an...

The aim of the study was to evaluate potential risks radiation near abandoned uranium mines, tailing dumps, or deposits on Mountain Stara Planina, Serbia. For risk assessment several parameters were determined: radium equivalent activity, Raeq, external hazard index, Hex, gamma absorbed dose rate, D, annual effective background outdoor exposure, AEDoutdoor, and excess lifetime cancer risk, ELCR. Obtained results showed that all samples, except one, have Raeq value up two times higher than...
