Organophosphorus pesticide dimethoate was adsorbed onto gold nanospheres and nanorods in aqueous solution using batch technique. Adsorption of nanoparticles confirmed by UV-Vis spectrophotometry, TEM, AFM, FTIR analysis. The adsorption resulted aggregation which not the case with nanorods. Nanoparticles features were characterized Langmuir Freundlich isotherm models. found to have best fit experimental data for both types nanoparticles. capacity detected is 456 mg/g 57.1 mg/g. Also,...

Presented research aimed to develop an alternative approach for the estimation of biosorption capability sunflower husk. The acid-pretreated biomass was characterized by scanning electron microscopy combined with energy dispersive X-Ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX) analysis and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Biosorption efficiency has been evaluated using inductively coupled plasma optical emission (ICP-OES) laser-induced breakdown (LIBS). adsorption capacity adsorbent determined...

Abstract BACKGROUND Seashell waste (SW) is rich in biogenic calcium carbonate and potentially can substitute geological sources various applications, such as the separation of heavy metals radionuclides from contaminated solutions. This study aims to compare SW sorption efficiency towards different chemical species (Cu 2+ , Zn Pb Sr ) evaluate effects factors based on experimental data modeling approach. RESULTS The reaction with aqueous metal solutions a combination several processes that...

Structural and optical properties of nanometric titanium oxide (TixOy) films obtained by cathodic arc plasma deposition were investigated. Phase analysis x-ray diffraction Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy showed the presence anatase, rutile, Ti2O3, Ti4O7 amorphous phases. Scanning electron microscopy images well-developed surface morphology with nano-patterns. Spectroscopic ellipsometry revealed film thicknesses 53 50 nm, variable refractive indices dependent on light wavelength close...
