The phase-formation rule of high-entropy alloys (HEAs) with different microstructures is discussed, based on the atom-size difference in multicomponent alloys. For single-phase HEA composition AlCoCrFeNi, yielding strengths and fracture at cryogenic temperatures increase distinguishingly, compared to corresponding mechanical properties ambient temperature. However, plasticity 298 77 K changes very gently, while modes are intergranular transgranular, respectively.

High-entropy AlxCoCrFe2.7MoNi (x = 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0) alloy coatings were prepared on pure iron by laser cladding. The effects of Al content the microstructure, hardness, wear resistance and corrosion studied. results showed that crystal phases changed from Mo-rich BCC1 + FCC to (Al, Ni)-rich BCC2 when x increased 0 phase an (Mo, Cr)-rich σ as further. hardness increased. Al2.0CoCrFe2.7MoNi coating exhibit best resistance. Addition potential in a 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution, with 1.0 exhibited highest

A high-resolution leaky coaxial cable (LCX) sensor for perimeter intrusion detection is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. In our system, a wideband Boolean-chaos signal used as the probe signal, pair of cables (LCXs) applied transmitting receiving echo respectively. By correlating chaotic with its delayed duplicate comparing correlation traces before after intrusion, intruder can be accurately located. Experimental results demonstrate simultaneously detect multiple intruders. The...

We propose a chaotic guided radar for perimeter intrusion detection and experimentally demonstrate the corresponding prototype which includes transmitter, receiver two leaky coaxial cables (LCXs). A wideband Boolean-chaos signal is generated in transmitter served as probe signal. An electromagnetic surveillance area formed between LCXs act transmitting receiving antennas. The can accurately locate an intruder crossing by measuring variation of correlation traces before after intrusion....

The microstructures and mechanical properties of AlCoCrFeNi0.3 high-entropy alloys (HEAs) are tailored through heat treatment. During treatment, the dendrite phase with a body-centered-cubic (bcc) structure transformed into interdendrite bcc structure. Due to element accumulation higher hardness in interdendrites increase volume fraction interdendrites, average HEAs increased heat-treatment temperature, highest was 625 HV. After 500 optimized under quasi-static compression were achieved,...

Bulk (BMG) (Zr5 2.5 17.9 14.6 Al 10.0 5.0 also included work and a Ti-6Al-4V alloy used as reference material. Due to the glassy that postpones growth of corrosion pits, BMGMC displays high positive potentials low current densities. The exhibited higher improved resistance than alloys. Furthermore, biocompatibility assessed by studying cellular...
