The aim of this study was to determine the effects variable and constant thermal conditions on embryonic development three endangered fish species from genus Leuciscus. Wild living spawners dace Leuciscus leuciscus (L.), ide L. idus (L.) chub cephalus were obtained rivers belonging Pasleka River basin (northeastern Poland) next transported a hatchery for purpose conducting artificial reproduction. eggs fertilized incubated under variety protocols: slow gradual heating water (M1), rapid...
Research into artificial reproduction of chub was studied during three subsequent reproductive seasons. Chub conducted in two different variations. In the first experiment hormonal agents were given to fish, such as CPE, hCG, or an analogue GnRH with dopamine antagonist (ovopel). second one, optimum moment applying sought and fish only obtained periods. The results seasons indicated that ovopel is most effective agent for chub. Consequently, it decided would obtain this final year research....
Wild spawners of common bream, Abramis brama, were caught in the Kortowskie Lake (north Poland) and transported to a hatchery for artificial spawning. Fish hormonally induced using GnRH analogue combined with metoclopramide (ovopel). The results bream reproduction captivity compared fish treated combination hCG CPE control group injected saline. Males from groups produced significantly more milt (over 4.3 ml/kg vs. 2.1) better qualities: spermatozoon concentration 9.3 × 109 6.8) motility 85%...
The aim of this study was to define an influence water temperature on successful reproduction burbot under the hatchery conditions. Research conducted during four successive spawning seasons where wild spawners were used. In first three years fish kept in different (natural) thermal fourth year it confirmed that highest efficacy synchronization could be reached only controlled regimes. That one group at 6 o C before and then a sudden decrease
The aim of the study was to compare female dace Leuciscus leuciscus (L.) and ide idus hormonal stimulation effectiveness with two preparations (Ovopel Ovaprim) separately in combination. experiment conducted under controlled conditions. During percentage ovulating females, ovulation time survival embryos eyed stage were recorded. Stimulation Ovopel resulted shorter appearance females both species (48–50 h for 36–38 ide) while Ovaprim a higher live (almost 80 60% respectively). highest...
The study encompasses three reproduction seasons. Tench spawners caught during the spawning season originated from carp ponds (domestic stock) and a lake (wild stock). Fish were reproduced under controlled conditions after hormonal stimulation with GnRHa-containing pellets combined metoclopramide (Ovopel) or pituitary homogenate (CPH). As result of stimulation, eggs obtained larger number females originating (71.7%) than those pond (58.3%), although no other statistical differences found. A...
Abstract This is the first report on sperm cryopreservation for cyprinid species asp Aspius aspius. Fish were captured from wild stock and kept under controlled conditions. Ovulation spermiation induced with hormonal treatment. Six simple carbohydrate-based extenders supplemented 10% DMSO tested cryopreservation. The most efficient 0.3 M sucrose, 0.6 glucose. They resulted in survival to eyed stage of 62 ± 4%, 59 5%, 49 respectively, expressed as a percentage control survival, which was 58...
The aim of the study was to conduct off-season spawning perch, Perca fluviatilis L. Spawners were obtained in late September from Lake Kortowskie. fish transported hatchery and divided into two size groups: G1 - small (30-70 g), G2 large (200-400 g). All males group spermiated after a two-month period photo-thermal stimulation, but only 25% produced milt. Better results with that stimulated three months chilling. higher volumes best results, defined as ovulation success embryo survival...
Induced spawning in perch, Perca fluviatilis L., was studied using follicle stimulating hormone and lutenizing (FSH + LH) with the addition of pimozide or metoclopramide. The doses administered to fish were: 75 IU kg−1 FSH LH 5 10mgkg−1 (P) metoclopramide (M) females, 25 2.5 mg P M males. Hormonal injections males (except injection 10 M) did not influence quantity milt obtained. All females treated this experiment had oocytes at same stage nucleus migration, so time ovulation very...
Wild living spawners of dace Leuciscus leuciscus (L.), ide L. idus (L.) and chub cephalus were obtained from rivers central (the Pisa River basin) northern Pasleka Poland next transported to a hatchery for artificial reproduction. The eggs dry fertilized incubated in water as different constant temperatures ranging 4.5 29.0 o C. hatched embryos kept at the same until moment complete yolk sac resorption later fed ad libitum on live nauplial Artemia sp. stages. power function was applied...
The aim of the work was to determine impact commercial feed used as an alternative diet for larval fish genera Leuciscus on growth and survival during rearing under controlled conditions. Larvae chub, cephalus (L.), ide, idus orfe (its yellow pigmented form), dace, leuciscus were obtained from breeding conditions reared 21 days in a closed recirculating system. control group comprised larvae fed Artemia nauplii. experimental first seven then this partially replaced with formulated feed. day...
This paper presents and describes a practical application of an experimental system for spawn incubation fish larvae rearing under laboratory conditions in closed water circulation. The experiment determined the effectiveness filtration during selected ornamental native cyprinids. results have shown full usability diversity purposes. obtained rearings with can be successfully used practice.
This study presents artificial induction using tench eggs, Tinca tinca (L.), of androgenetic origin. The oocytes taken from common bream, Abramis brama (L.) and carp, Cyprinus carpio L. were genetically inactivated UV irradiation then inseminated spermatozoa. Androgenetic origin (haploid or diploid embryos) was checked a recessive colour (blond) morphological markers. percentage hatched embryos in all experimental groups much lower than the control groups. All haploid showed abnormalities,...
The purpose of this study was to analyse the influence water salinity on incubation eggs and growth larvae sichel Pelecus cultratus (L.) under controlled conditions. following considered: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 0 ppt for control. time depended salinity, lasting from 56.3°D [9 ppt] 107.7°D [0 ppt]. higher shorter time. highest survivability obtained in equal 3 freshwater, where respectively 87% 84% survived. No hatched were 12 ppt, as all embryos died during experiment. Larvae reared up 21 days....
