ABSTRACT Poribacteria were found in nine sponge species belonging to six orders of Porifera from three oceans. Phylogenetic analysis revealed four distinct poribacterial clades, which contained organisms obtained several different geographic regions, indicating that the distribution poribacteria is cosmopolitan. Members divergent clades also same genera.
The Minimum Information About BIobank Data Sharing (MIABIS) is a biobank-specific terminology enabling the sharing of biobank-related data for different purposes across wide range database implementations. After 4 years in use and with first version individual-level MIABIS component
The intracellular pathogen Legionella pneumophila activates the transcription factor NF-kappaB in macrophages and human epithelial cells, contributing to cytokine production anti-apoptosis. former is important for innate immune response infection, latter replication by securing host cell survival. Here, we demonstrate biphasic activation of L. using a p65-GFP expressing variant A549 cells. Early strong but transient nuclear translocation p65 was observed. Only flagellin-deficient (DeltafliA...
The Minimum Information About BIobank data Sharing (MIABIS) was initiated in 2012. MIABIS aims to create a common biobank terminology facilitate sharing biobanks and sample collections. Core consists of three components describing biobanks, collections, studies, which information on samples donors is provided at aggregated form. However, there also need describe an individual level allow more elaborate queries available data. Therefore the has now been extended with level.
Background Biobanks ensure the long-term storage and accessibility of biospecimens corresponding data sets. Thus, they form foundation for many research projects which may contribute to improving medical care. With establishment German Biobank Node Alliance, expertise in biobanking is bundled strengthened. An important component within this infrastructure set-up an information technology (IT) network allowing feasibility requests across individual biobanks. Objective We aim describe relevant...
Treatment concepts in oncology are becoming increasingly personalized and diverse. Successively, changes standards of care mandate continuous monitoring patient pathways clinical outcomes based on large, representative real-world data. The German Cancer Consortium's (DKTK) Clinical Communication Platform (CCP) provides such opportunity. Connecting fourteen university hospital-based cancer centers, the CCP relies a federated IT-infrastructure sourcing data from facility-based registry units...
This study outlines the development of a highly interoperable federated IT infrastructure for academic biobanks located at major university hospital sites across Germany. High-quality biosamples linked to clinical data, stored in are essential biomedical research. We aimed facilitate findability these and their associated data. Networks provide access even larger pools samples data from rare diseases small disease subgroups. The German Biobank Alliance (GBA) established 2017 under umbrella...
Abstract Testing for genetic alterations in tumor tissue allows clinicians to identify patients who most likely will benefit from molecular targeted treatment. EXLIQUID – exploiting liquid biopsies advance cancer precision medicine investigates the potential of additional non-invasive tools guiding therapy decisions and monitoring advanced patients. The term “liquid biopsy” (LB) refers analysis tumor-derived circulating material such as cell-free DNA blood samples Although recent...
