Here we present sunflower , an R package developed to improve analysis language quality for Spanish data. Research in multi-digit number comparison usually considers stimuli with the same of digits (e.g., 3452 vs. 7831). Surprisingly, there is almost no research on numbers that differ length 995 1000), which demands a focus each multi-digit, despite fact role has been explicitly acknowledged componential models processing. Our study explores whether pairs natural affected by identity leftmost digit and asks what effect having variable proportions trials same-length task. Across three studies...
All major writing systems mandate the use of commas to separate clauses and list items. However, casual writers often omit mandatory commas. Little empirical or theoretical research has been done on effect that omitting eye movement control during reading. We present an eye-tracking experiment in Spanish, a language with clear standard as comma use. Sentences were presented without while readers’ movements recorded. There was local increase go-past time for pre-comma region when presented,...
We introduce the Math4Speed (M4S), a paper-and-pencil measure incorporating four arithmetic operations with items of varying complexity. M4S consists 50 addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems, limited to 2 min per operation. The psychometric evaluation was conducted by combining convenience samples young adults (N = 1,165), who were mainly university students (77.2%), from six European countries (the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Greece, Spain). Reliability...
