The magneto-optical properties of single-crystal silicon were investigated as a function wavelength and temperature. A bulk free-space traditional Faraday isolator for the radiation with 1940 nm (magnetic field ∼2.8 Т) was implemented. negative value piezo-optical anisotropy ratio used material allowed development compensation thermally induced depolarization without reciprocal rotator. potential isolators operating at room well cryogenic temperatures in high-power laser considered. It shown...

Using the original method, based on measurements of thermally induced depolarization, optical anisotropy parameters CaF2, BaF2 and SrF2 cubic crystals were measured compared with what is known from literature. Euler angles crystallographic axis orientation [C], in which depolarization minimal, determined using experimental results for studied fluorides.

Samples of TAG ceramics doped with Ce and Pr ions (0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 at.% concentrations) Ho (0.5 at.%) were studied. The wavelength dependence the Verdet constant each sample in 405 nm - 1064 range was measured, analytical approximation found. obtained value studied did not depend on dopant concentration type concentrations. thermally induced depolarization laser radiation power investigated, magneto optical figure merit estimated for sample. It demonstrated that doping can provide a...
