Hexagonal ferrites of M -type (in particular, BaFe 12 O 19 ) are magnetic materials with functional characteristics affected both by chemical composition and technology their synthesis. Abstract In this work structural studies of BaFe 12 O 19 /Al 2 3 /Si N 4 thin films with different thicknesses aluminum oxide and silicon nitride are represented. It is shown that barium hexaferrite crystallizes on the amorphous surface spontaneously formed (00l) uniaxial texture. Microstructural differences in were observed varying thickness sublayers, which explained by effect mechanical stress.
