Mixed-valence (MV) dimers have been extensively investigated, however, the structure and properties of purely organic MV trimers based on open-shell polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons remain elusive. Herein, unprecedented BN-doped corannulene radical cations [BN-Cor1]3 ⋅⋅2+ ⋅ 2[BArylF4 ]- [BN-Cor2]3 were synthesized via chemical oxidation, their structures unambiguously confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. These uncommon consist three cores two [BArylF4 anions, motifs in unit cell...

Storage lipids are an important compartment in the bioaccumulation of neutral organic compounds. Reliable models for predicting storage lipid–water and lipid–air partition coefficients (Kislip/w Kislip/a), as well their temperature dependence, considered useful. Polyparameter linear free energy relationships (PP-LFERs) accurate, general, mechanistically clear partitioning-related physicochemical quantities. About a decade ago, PP-LFERs were calibrated Kislip/w at physiological 37 °C....
