Cerebrospinal fluid-contacting neurons (CSF-cNs) are enigmatic mechano- or chemosensory cells lying along the central canal of spinal cord. Recent studies in zebrafish larvae and lampreys have shown that CSF-cNs control postures movements via connections. However, structures, connectivity, functions mammals remain largely unknown. Here we developed a method to genetically target mouse highlighted structural connections functions. We first found intracerebroventricular injection...

Abstract Intravenous lidocaine administration produces an analgesic effect in various pain states, such as neuropathic and acute pain, although the underlying mechanisms remains unclear. Here, we hypothesized that intravenous acts on spinal cord neurons induces analgesia pain. We therefore examined action of using vivo patch-clamp technique. first investigated effects behavioural measures rats. then performed recording from substantia gelatinosa (SG) neurons. had a dose-dependent withdrawal...

Chronic pain remains challenging to treat, despite numerous reports of its pathogenesis, including neuronal plasticity in the spinal dorsal horn (SDH). We hypothesized that understanding only at a specific time point after peripheral nerve injury (PNI) is insufficient solve chronic pain. Here, we analyzed temporal changes synaptic transmission and astrocyte-neuron interactions SDH PNI. found PNI changed time-dependent manner, which was accompanied by astrocyte proliferation loss inhibitory...

This case report describes a neonate with tracheal aplasia first diagnosed after birth due to the presentation of respiratory distress, absence crying, and unsuccessful intubation. The most common finding is polyhydramnios. However, diagnosis remains challenging in prenatal period. In this case, maternal obesity gestational diabetes made more difficult. only lifesaving treatment available ventilation through esophageal intubation or tracheostomy. some cases, tracheostomy not an option.

We thought that understanding at a particular time point after peripheral nerve injury (PNI) is insufficient solve chronic pain. Here, we analyzed temporal changes synaptic transmission and astrocyte-neuron interactions SDH from post-PNI. show altered time-dependently PNI postsynaptic receptors are main pathological factor during...
