The growth of transformed mouse fibroblasts (3T6 cells) in medium containing 5% fetal bovine serum was inhibited after treatment with concentrations greater than 50 microM ATP, ADP, or AMP. Adenosine, the common catabolite nucleotides, had no effect on cell at below 1 mM. However, following results indicate that toxicity and AMP is mediated by serum- cell-associated hydrolysis nucleotides to adenosine. 1) ADP AMP, but not were toxic 3T6 cells grown serum-free which phosphohydrolase activity...

The KH domain protein MEX-3 is central to the temporal and spatial control of PAL-1 expression in C. elegans early embryo. a Caudal-like homeodomain that required specify fate posterior blastomeres. While pal-1 mRNA present throughout oocyte embryo, expressed only blastomeres, starting at four-cell stage. To better understand how regulated temporally spatially, we have identified interacting proteins (MIPs) characterized detail two are for patterning expression. RNA interference MEX-6, CCCH...

Tumor progression largely depends on blood supply and neovessel formation, angiogenesis is emerging as a promising target for cancer therapy. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), major proangiogenic molecule, stimulates via promoting proliferation, survival migration. VEGF has been found to be up-regulated in various types of tumors associated with tumor poor prognosis. Inhibition or its signaling pathway shown suppress growth. In the present study, we tested antiangiogenic antitumor...

3'-O-(4-Benzoyl)benzoyl-ATP (BzATP), a photoaffinity analog of ATP, was used as ligand for P2Y purinoceptor (adenine nucleotide receptor) present in intact Swiss 3T3 and 3T6 cells A-431 epidermoid carcinoma cells. Photolysis serum-starved the presence 10-50 microM BzATP, followed by extensive washing to remove unincorporated induced release arachidonic acid. A trace (less than 0.01%) photoincorporated BzATP effective when 50 or ATP contained incubation medium during assay. Photoincorporated...
