The conventional surface wave inversion methodology relying upon dispersion curve analyses is frequently confounded by the phenomenon known as "mode kissing" well absorptive properties of seismic waves traversing near-surface geologic strata. We propose a deep learning approach to overcome challenges in due complex geology. A convolutional neural network regression model developed directly map spectra shear velocity profiles. takes entire spectrograms input, avoiding issues from manual...
ABSTRACT Our objective was to discover the effect of variations in fluid properties and fracture geometry on velocity seismic wave propagation fluid‐saturated media with parallel planar fractures. We used numerical models calculated by analytical solutions examine behaviour P‐wave phase dispersion normal direction layering, non‐porous porous also examined anisotropy low frequency group velocities fast slow P‐waves angular‐dependent reflection coefficients fractures, under conditions...
We propose an efficient and accurate finite-difference approach for modeling the acoustic wave propagation in cased boreholes with micro-annuluses. The presence of micro-annuluses at casing-cement or cement-formation boundaries can result unconformities that change borehole response. Correction interpretation measurements acquired such a downhole environment requires conducting numerical simulations to investigate characteristics propagation. Traditional methods use very fine grid model...
