Resumo Este artigo apresenta os resultados da análise petrográfica realizada em 22 fragmentos de cerâmicas provenientes fase Bacabal, do sambaqui Monte Castelo (Rondônia), uma das mais antigas Amazônia, datada 4.000 anos AP.
