Abstract A previously healthy 15-year-old teenage boy was admitted for fever and heart failure. Myocarditis suspected, endomyocardial biopsy revealed giant cell myocarditis. Immunosuppressive treatment initiated, with excellent response. plausible link to previous leptospirosis identified. At 18-month follow-up, left ventricular function is normal.
