Abstract The design of the γ-γ fast timing array VENTURE-2.0 is presented as an upgradation VENTURE existing at Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC), Kolkata. development will give rise to possibility exotic nuclear structure studies in terms shapes, spin and isospin using spectroscopy. new aimed measuring level lifetimes from few nanoseconds down about picoseconds nuclei produced with low cross section. Nine different sizes CeBr 3 detectors crystal dimension (diameter ( ϕ ) × thickness t...
Lifetimes have been measured for the low-lying yrast levels of $^{130,132}\mathrm{Te}$ using $\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ fast timing methods. The excited states were populated in ${\ensuremath{\beta}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and IT decay fission fragments, mass-separated by Lohengrin separator at Institut Laue-Langevin. Four ${\mathrm{LaBr}}_{3}$(Ce) detectors, placed focal plane spectrometer, used measurement. $\ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{s}$ isomers coincidence an...
Lifetimes of the $15/{2}_{1}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and 13/${2}_{1}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ levels in $^{129}\mathrm{Sn}$ have been measured using $\ensuremath{\gamma}\text{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ fast timing technique which come out to be 10(3) ps 6(4) ps, respectively. The excited states were populated through internal transition decay higher lying $\textmu{}\mathrm{s}$ isomers produced as fission fragments mass separated by Lohengrin separator at Institut Laue-Langevin. generalized...
Lifetimes are measured for low lying states of $^{150}\mathrm{Sm}$, populated from ${\ensuremath{\beta}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ decay $^{150}\mathrm{Pm}$ produced through $(p,n)$ reactions with a $^{150}\mathrm{Nd}$ target. The VENTURE array comprising eight fast ${\mathrm{CeBr}}_{3}$ detectors is used lifetime measurement $\ensuremath{\gamma}\text{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ timing technique. ${0}_{3}^{+}$ level $^{150}\mathrm{Sm}$ the first time to be 36(10) ps. found have enhanced...
A positive parity sequence of ΔI=2 γ transitions has been identified above Iπ=9/2+ state (Ex=2019 keV) in 115Sb through in-beam ray spectroscopic technique. Rotational features this are found similar to a low-K decoupled band. Observation newly band, along with the earlier reported strongly coupled high-K band nucleus, provides first experimental evidence for prolate-oblate shape coexistence associated g9/2 proton-hole configuration around Z=50 shell closure. Experimental results reproduced...
Radioactive ion beams of 111In (indium-111, half-life 2.8 days) have been produced using the plasma sputtering method in an electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) source at Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre RIB facility. Indium isotopes were first by bombarding a natural silver target with 32 MeV, 40 μA alpha particle beam from K-130 cyclotron. After radio-chemical separation, about 25 mCi In-chloride was deposited on aluminum electrode and inserted chamber ECR. ions induced extracted source,...
