An algorithm for tracking multiple targets in a cluttered enviroment is developed. The capable of initiating tracks, accounting false or missing reports, and processing sets dependent reports. As each measurement received, probabilities are calculated the hypotheses that came from previously known target file, new target, false. Target states estimated such data-association hypothesis using Kalman filter. more measurements joint recursively all available information as density unknown...

We have studied the detailed threshold voltage distribution in a state-of-the-art n-channel MOSFET presence of random discrete dopants. A ground-breaking sample 100 000 transistors with statistically unique dopant distributions were simulated using Glasgow 3-D device simulator and advanced grid computing technologies. The results indicate that deviates substantially from Gaussian distribution, which may significant implications for margins used circuit design, particularly SRAM cells.

In this paper a novel application of particular type spiking neural network, Polychronous Spiking Network, was used for financial time series prediction. It is argued that the inherent temporal capabilities network are suited to non-stationary data such as this. The performance benchmarked against three systems: two "traditional", rate-encoded, networks; Multi-Layer Perceptron and Dynamic Ridge Polynomial standard Linear Predictor Coefficients model. For comparison noisy were used: IBM stock...

This article reviews the development of minimum-variance smoother and describes its use in longwall automation. We describe both continuous- discrete-time solutions. It is shown, under suitable assumptions, that two-norm estimation error less than for Kalman filter. A simulation study presented to compare performance with methods H.E. Rauch et al. (1965), D.C. This correspondence investigates the convergence of a Kalman filter-based expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm for estimating variances. It is shown that if variance estimates and error covariances are initialized appropriately, underlying Riccati equation solution sequence iterations will be monotonically nonincreasing. Further, process noise converge to actual values when measurement becomes negligibly small. Conversely, negligible, asymptotically approach true values. An inertial...
