This study compared the effect of low-fat diet (LFD) and high-fat rich in corn oil (HFD-CO) on left ventricular (LV) fibrosis rats examined their angiotensin II (ANG II), JAK/STAT, TGF-1β/smad3 pathways. As to LFD which didn't affect any measured parameters, HFD-CO-induced type 2 diabetes phenotype increased LV collagen synthesis. Mechanistically, it levels ROS, ANG II, ACE, IL-6, s-IL-6Rα, TGF-β1, Smad-3, activities JAK1/2 STAT1/3. AG490, a JAK2 inhibitor, partially ameliorated these while...
Background: Tendinopathy is a challenging condition associated with high treatment costs, prolonged dysfunction, and lower quality of life. Current strategies aim to accelerate healing by modulating the phases. Phototherapy growth factor-based modalities have shown promising outcomes in promoting tendon healing. A two-factor experimental design investigates therapeutic efficacy conditioning partially tenotomized rat Achilles model low concentrations collagenase, followed platelet-rich plasma...
We examined the beneficial effects of olive oil against heart failure post-myocardial infarction (PMI), induced by coronary artery ligation in rats. Animals were divided into sham and ligated groups fed either regular chow, (10% wt/wt), or corn wt/wt) followed up to 16 weeks. On echocardiography at 3 days chow (LRC), (LOO), (LCO) left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) decrease was 12.14%, 16.42%, 17.53% from baseline, respectively. However, only LOO group improved LVEF significantly weeks...
Tendinopathy or tendon injuries can affect many people, causing a huge impact on their movements and maintaining standing posture. Treatment options include physiotherapy, anti-inflammatory drugs, alternative medicine. The use of physiotherapy drugs may cause some side effects like pain liver failure, respectively, therefore, medicine will be better choice.Tenocytes were isolated from sheep Achilles used in Alamar blue assay to assess the metabolic activity, proliferation, viability...
Abstract Objectives The purpose of this study was to measure changes in the concentration immunoglobulin G (IgG) and M (IgM) mature breast milk Jordanian mothers during first 6 months after giving birth between exclusively breastfeeding (EBF) non‐exclusively (non‐EBF) mothers. Methods A longitudinal follow‐up design used IgG IgM mothers' birth. Sixty‐nine lactating were recruited study. Breast samples collected by themselves first, fourth, sixth lactation concentrations using enzyme‐linked...
Introduction: It has been shown that olive leaf extract exerts (OLE) a positive effect on lipid and blood glucose levels; however, the mechanism remains poorly understood. This study aimed to examine behind this by evaluating proteins related metabolism, including transporter 4 (Glut4), Akt Substrate of 160 kDa (AS160), adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK α2). Methods: Eighty-four male Sprague–Dawley rats were divided into three major groups: group one (control); two,...
Objectives: Divine golden ratio (Phi = 1.618) observed in several human body parts such as, heart, dentition and upper limb tends to present homeostasis anatomy physiology. This cross sectional survey study investigates the relationship of with BMI, GPA, gender blood serotypes Jordan.
Methods: Demographic features including weight, lengths some ABO/Rh groups were measured for 380 undergraduate students matched age (19.14±0.76) sex ratio. Navel-Foot/Height, Forearm-Hand/Armpit-hand BMI...
This study investigates the effect of chronic consumption a high-fat diet rich in corn oil (CO-HFD) on atrial cells ultrastructure, antioxidant levels and markers intrinsic cell death both control type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM)-induced rats. Adult male rats (10 rats/group) were divided into four groups: fed standard (STD) (3.82 kcal/g, 9.4% fat), CO-HFD (5.4 40% T1DM STD, + CO-HFD. alone or combination impaired systolic diastolic functions significantly reduced GSH activity SOD, enhanced...
This paper presents a digital human modelling (DHM) study of box-lifting task considering physical characteristics (i.e., gender and percentile) requirements posture force). Two response variables are considered: compression force on L4/L5 the tension right/left Latissimus Dorsi muscle. Multivariate analysis variance (MANOVA) was used to analyse data. Results showed that lower back is positively correlated with muscle (r = 0.94). Moreover, 95th percentile male in standing position...
We have already reported that IL‐10 prevents TNF‐α induced increase in oxidative stress and apoptosis cardiomyocytes. Present study investigated the role of Akt Jak/Stat pathway mediated survival Isolated cardiomyocytes from adult Sprague Dawley rats were exposed to (10ng/ml), (10ng/ml) TNF‐α+IL‐10 (ratio 1) for 4h. Exposure resulted decrease cell viability an cardiomyocyte apoptosis. by itself had no effect, but it prevented enhanced survival. Furthermore, treatment increased levels within...
We have reported that tumor necrosis factor‐α (TNF‐α) increases oxidative stress and apoptosis in cardiomyocytes by upregulating p38 mitogen activated protein (MAP) kinase phosphorylation. Interleukin‐10 (IL‐10) blocked these effects of TNF‐α ERK 1/2 MAP However, the precise site this IL‐10 action is still unknown was investigated present study. Cardiomyocytes isolated from adult Sprague Dawley rats were exposed to (10ng/ml), (10ng/ml) IL‐10α (ratio 1) for 4hrs. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)...
Introduction: Tendinopathy is a pathology of tendons multifactorial origin displayed clinically as chronic degenerative tissue resulting in dysfunction and painful musculoskeletal system. Genetic implications tendinopathy are not fully elucidated. Haptoglobin (Hp) polymorphism has been investigated for potential role several diseases such cardiovascular diseases. This study aims at investigating Hp association with Jordan. Materials Methods: A hospital-based case-control study, 101 patients...
