Epigenetic regulators are attractive anticancer targets, but the promise of therapeutic strategies inhibiting some these factors has not been proven in vivo or taken into account tumor cell heterogeneity. Here we show that histone methyltransferase G9a, reported to be a target many cancers, is suppressor aggressive lung tumor-propagating cells (TPCs). Inhibition G9a drives adenocarcinoma towards TPC phenotype by de-repressing genes which regulate extracellular matrix. Depletion during...

Abstract Introduction: Obesity, defined as a body mass index (BMI) > 30 kg/m2, increases the risk of benign and malignant pancreatic diseases. One mainstay treatment for certain conditions involves surgical resection with pancreaticoduodenectomy, technically complex operation high complication risk. This is a case with associated radiologic and intra-operative images for an infant who presented hemoperitoneum acute abdomen. Pre-operative imaging included abdominal ultrasound computed tomography, which raised suspicion pelvic mass concerning malignancy. These studies prompted diagnostic laparoscopy, revealed ruptured ovarian allowed appropriate surgical management resection. Histopathology confirmed the diagnosis of juvenile granulosa cell tumor. Although uncommon cause abdomen in...
