Quinazolinone scaffold has been considered as a magic moiety possessing myriad spectrum of medicinal activities. Diversity biological response profile attracted considerable interest several researchers across the globe to explore this skeleton for its assorted therapeutic significance. Various novel classes structurally different quinazolinones have designed and synthesized depicting potential interventions such antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anticonvulsant, CNS depressant,...
Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (QSAR) is based on the hypothesis that changes in molecular structure reflect observed response or biological activity. The success of any quantitative structure–activity relationship model depends accuracy input data, selection appropriate descriptors, statistical tools and validation developed model. Validation a crucial aspect QSAR modeling. process by which reliability significance procedure are established for specific purpose. Hence this...
Introduction: The present study provides a scientific evaluation for the wound healing potential of ethanolic (EtOH) extract Sida cordifolia Linn. (SCL) plant.
Materials and Methods: Excision, incision burn wounds were inflicted upon three groups six rats each. Group I was assigned as control (ointment base). II treated with 10% EtOH ointment. III standard silver sulfadiazine (0.01%) cream. parameters observed percentage contraction, epithelialization period,...
Histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACi) have been actively explored as anti-cancer agents due to their ability prevent deacetylation of histones, resulting in uncoiling chromatin and stimulation a range genes associated the regulation cell survival, proliferation, differentiation apoptosis. During past several years, many HDACi entered pre-clinical or clinical research with satisfying results. Out these, more than 8 novel hydroxamic acid based i.e., belinostat, abexinostat, SB939,...
A series of novel N(1)-[5-(4-substituted phenyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl]-N(4)-(4-substituted benzaldehyde)-semicarbazone 1-12, phenyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl]-N(4)-[1-(4-substituted phenyl)ethanone]-semicarbazone 13-16, and phenyl) (phenyl) methanone]-semicarbazone 17-20 were synthesized for their anticonvulsant activity. The chemical structures the compounds proved by elemental spectral (IR, (1)H-NMR,( 13)C-NMR, MS) analysis. potential was investigated using maximal electroshock seizure (MES)...
Two simple, accurate, novel, safe and precise methods were developed for the simultaneous estimation of poorly water-soluble drugs Metronidazole (MTR) Furazolidone (FZ) in a tablet dosage form using 2 M sodium acetate 8 urea solution (50:50%V/V) as mixed hydrotropic solution. MTR FZ show maximum absorbances at 319 364 nm, respectively. Sodium did not any absorbance above 240 nm thus no interference was seen. follow Beer's law concentration range 10–50 μg/ml 5–25 (r2 = 0.9992 0.9996)....
Ebola virus disease is one of the most deadly ailments known to mankind due its high mortality rate (up 90%) accompanying with disease. haemorrhagic fever (EHF) an infectious animal that can be transmitted both human and non-human primates. The first epidemic EHF occurred in 1976 Democratic Republic Congo. incubation period ebola less than 21 days. infections are depicted by immune suppression a systemic inflammatory response leads damage vascular, coagulation systems, causing multi-organ...
Abstract: Anti-angiogenic therapy represents a promising approach to cancer treatment by targeting the vascular support systems of tumors rather than tumor cells themselves. Antiangiogenic agents face numerous obstacles that impede their efficacy, notwithstanding potential: mechanistic complexity, toxicity, resistance, and lack validated predictive biomarkers. Resistance mechanisms may encompass genetic modifications, alternative angiogenic pathways, or recruitment derived from bone marrow....
In the present investigation, synthesis and anti-bacterial, analgesic anthelmintic evaluation of a novel series fluoroquinolone derivatives clubbed with benzothiazole moeity has been described. The synthesized compounds were characterised by spectral analysis (IR (1)H NMR). Preliminary results indicated that most demonstrated good activities against gram negative positive bacterial strains. Compounds 5a, 5b, 5f 5k potent anti-bacterial activities. Compound 5a exhibited activity MIC values...
A series of 1,3-thiazolidin-4-one derivatives were prepared by the reaction respective aromatic amine, aldehyde, and thioglycolic acid in dry benzene/toluene. The newly synthesized compounds characterized on basis elemental analysis, IR, (1) HNMR, mass spectra. final evaluated for their vitro antibacterial, antifungal, anti-viral activities. Preliminary results indicated that some demonstrated antibacterial activity range 7-13 μg/mL, antifungal 13-17 comparable with standard drugs,...
