Electrochemical and electro-discharge machining processes are the two major electro-machining with unique capabilities. Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) (ECM) offer a better alternative or sometimes only in generating accurate 3-D complex shaped macro, micro nano features components of difficult–to-machine materials. Technological advances reported electrochemical electro discharge processes, which reflect state art academic industrial research applications, briefly reviewed this paper.

This paper presents an experimental investigation of wire electro-discharge machining (WEDM) titanium alloy. The objective is to investigate the effect seven process parameters including pulse width, servo reference voltage, current, and tension on performance (such as cutting speed, rupture surface integrity). A Taguchi L18 design experiment (DOE) has been applied. All experiments have conducted using Charmilles WEDM. It was also found that speed increases with peak current interval....

Ageing population and new diseases are requiring the development of novel therapeutical strategies. 3D bioprinting an application domain additive manufacturing emerged as a potential transformative strategy for tissue engineering regenerative medicine. This paper introduces concept bioprinting, discussing in detail key requirements bio-inks main materials used to encapsulate cells. Recent advances related use smart 4D printing is also discussed. Main techniques described limitations...

Three-dimensional (3D), periodic nanowriting on diamond clusters is reported in this letter. Concentric circular rings were observed microclusters, nucleated near the periphery of a laser-irradiated region, when chemical-vapor deposited was processed air, with laser pulses 380 fs duration and at wavelength 248 nm. Periodic ripples also have been single-crystal polycrystalline surfaces. Further, it experimentally shown that periodicity these corrugated two-dimensional 3D structures shorter...

Despite the rapid progress being made in synthesis of diamond films and recent interest polishing films, no systematic measurements friction wear on polished have been reported. In present study, chemomechanical laser techniques are used, data chemomechanically presented. With technique used this rms roughness hot filament chemical vapor deposited can be reduced from about 657 to 170 nm with rounding off sharp asperities change structure. The exhibit coefficient (∼0.1) rates much lower than...

Unlike IC packaging, MEMS dice must interface with the environment for sensing, interconnection, and/or actuation. packaging is application specific and package provides physical of device to environment. In case a fluid mass flow control sensor, medium flows into out package. This type referred as media compatible packaging. Harsh environments may create different challenges MEMS. addition related chip interfacing that environment, also exist inside package, such die handling, attach,...

The tribological behavior of novel, deagglomerated, and active molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanoparticles as additives in paraffin oil is presented. In a novel approach, the MoS2 were activated by their intercalation with organic molecules, particularly triglycerides (canola oil) lecithin (source phosphorus). A four-ball test setup was used to measure wear scar diameter, coefficient friction, extreme pressure properties such formulated oils. results showed significant influence this uniquely...
