A common symptom of anxiety disorders is the overgeneralization fear across a broad range contextual cues. We previously found that ACC and ventral hippocampus (vHPC) regulate generalized fear. Here, we investigate functional projections from vHPC to amygdala their role in governing preclinical rodent model. chemogenetic approach (designer receptor exclusively activated by designer drugs) was used inhibit glutamatergic or terminate within BLA at recent (1 d) remote (28 time points after...
Though much attention has been given to the neural structures that underlie long-term consolidation of contextual memories, little is known about mechanisms responsible for maintenance memory precision. Here, we demonstrate a rapid time-dependent decline in precision GABAB(1a) receptor knockout mice. First, show receptors are required maintenance, but not encoding, precise fear memory. We then spatial memories. Our findings suggest GABA-mediated presynaptic inhibition regulates as function age.
Synthetic metal chelators are widely used in industrial, clinical, and agricultural settings, leading to their accumulation the environment. We measured growth of Caulobacter crescentus , a soil aquatic bacterium, presence ubiquitous chelator ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) found that it restricts by lowering intracellular iron levels. Using barcoded transposon sequencing, we identified an operonic gene pair, cciT-cciO is required maintain homeostasis laboratory media during EDTA...
Introduction The practice of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) exhibits variability across various domains, both between regions, and centers within the same region. ECT Working Group Catalan Society Psychiatry conducted a comprehensive survey in Catalonia, Spain, to assess current status those variables essential clinical ECT. Materials Methods comprised 50 items, including question types such as multiple-choice, numerical response, open-ended questions. It was administered 20 public...
Abstract Nearly one third of Americans have been afflicted with an anxiety disorder. A common symptom disorders is the over generalization fear across a broad range contextual cues. We previously found that anterior cingulate cortex and ventral hippocampus (vHPC) regulate generalized fear. Here, we investigate functional projections from ACC vHPC to amygdala their role in governing preclinical rodent model. chemogenetic approach (DREADDs) was used inhibit glutamatergic or terminate within...
