Abstract Reactivation of newly acquired memories during sleep across hippocampal and neocortical systems is proposed to underlie memory consolidation. Here, we investigate spontaneous reprocessing by applying machine learning source space-transformed magnetoencephalographic data in a two-step exploratory confirmatory study design.
