A semiassisted global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) authentication concept is proposed, with two main advantages. First, it can be implemented in a GNSS without modifications to the signal plan, provided that transmit an encrypted and open unpredictable verifiable bits regularly. Second, work receiver for up several days any assistance or possession of private key, at expense some latency. In this concept, parts transmitted future are re-encrypted, published, downloaded receiver. Some...

The European Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), Galileo, is currently developing and implementing new added-value services aiming to provide increased security robustness against malicious attacks (e.g. spoofing), like Open Service Message Authentication (OSNMA), authenticate the data symbols, or Commercial (CAS), ranging signal. This paper analyses impact, from a signal-level performance, of different parameters involved in service definition Assisted (ACAS) mode, presents some...

Malicious attacks such as spoofing are a significant concern within the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) community. The European Galileo program is actively developing new services to bolster resilience of these systems, outlined in (Fernandez-Hernandez et al., 2018). These include Open Service Message Authentication (OSNMA), which offers authentication for navigation bits, and Commercial (CAS), designed encrypt spreading code chips. Similar concepts being applied Chips-Message...

To enhance the robustness of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) against malicious attacks (e.g., spoofing), European Galileo is working on new services, like Open Service Message Authentication (OSNMA), which provides authentication navigation bits, or Commercial (CAS), aims to encrypt spreading code chips. An assisted mode latter, named Assisted (ACAS), currently under definition by program. It uses Timed Efficient Stream Loss-tolerant (TESLA) keys provided OSNMA E1-B signal...

A GNSS signal authentication concept named semi-assisted is proposed. It based on the re-encryption and publication of keystream sequences some milliseconds from an already existing encrypted signal. Some seconds after keystreams are transmitted in signal-in-space, broadcasts key allowing to decrypt a-posteriori correlation at receiver. The particularized as Galileo Assisted Commercial Authentication Service, or ACAS, for E1-B, with OSNMA used decryption keys, E6C, assumed be near future....

The European Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), Galileo, is currently leading the development of new services focused on authentication position to mitigate vulnerabilities common receivers. It has recently incorporated Open Service Message Authentication (OSNMA) in its E1-B signal, which allows authenticate navigation data symbols, but it also working encryption spreading codes provide increased security and robustness against malicious attacks like spoofing ones. This last...

This paper presents for the first time full specification of Galileo Signal Authentication Service (SAS), formerly known as Assisted Commercial (ACAS). It includes a general description concept and detailed service, with focus on ground interfaces cryptographic operations, aim helping developers to test SAS receiving prototypes in view forthcoming early testing phase. The also summarizes some field lab results obtained so far outlines recommendations future receivers.
