The titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles catalyst was synthesized via sol-gel method using the tetra-isopropoxide as starting material. effects of calcination temperatures on crystalline structure, surface area and photocatalytic activity TiO2 were investigated. anatase to rutile percentage decreases when greater than 500°C evaluated from XRD intensity (101) (110) peak, respectively. Photocatalytic tested by degradation chlorophenols namely, 2-chlorophenol (2-CP), 2, 4-dichlorophenol...

Abstract The corrosion performance of mild steel (MS) in 1M HCl solution was examined by weight loss (WL), potentiodynamic polarization (PDP), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), frequency modulation (EFM), and open circuit potential (OCP) measurements the absence presence nonanedihydrazide. PDP indicated that nonanedihydrazide acts as a mixed inhibitor due to its adsorption on MS surface, exhibiting an inhibition efficiency more than 97%. surface morphology investigation...

Pretreatment of raw feed water is an essential step for proper functioning a reverse osmosis (RO) desalination plant as it minimizes the risk membrane fouling. Conventional pretreatment methods have drawbacks, such potential biofouling, chemical consumption, and carryover. Non-conventional membrane-based technologies emerged promising alternatives. The present review focuses on recent advances in MF, UF, NF techniques that been shown to be effective preventing fouling well having low energy...

Novel corrosion inhibitor as a green chemical product namely derivative, 2-amino 5-oleyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol (AOT) was synthesized by cyclization of oleic acid. The new characterized FT-IR and NMR spectroscopical methods. AOT evaluated for mild steel in 1M Hydrochloric acid solution using Potentiodynamic Electrochemistry Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) technique. Results obtained show that acts good HCl solution. Theoretical studies were also done the novel compound AOT.

Abstract The corrosion inhibition of Schiff base, namely 2-((2-hydroxy-5-methoxybenzylidene)amino)pyridine (HMAP), for mild steel (MS) in a 1 M hydrochloric acid environment was investigated by means weight loss and scanning electron microscopy techniques. Quantum chemical calculation based on density functional theory (DFT) carried out HMAP. Results illustrated that HMAP is superior inhibitor the MS 1.0M environment, efficiency higher than 90.0% at 0.5 g/L Inhibition performance increases...

Abstract The University of Technology in Baghdad addresses problems related to the corrosion metals. In present investigation, a thiophene derivative, namely, 2-acetylthiophene thiosemicarbazone (2-AT), was synthesized and examined as inhibitor for mild steel 1-M hydrochloric acid environment by using weight loss scanning electron microscopic techniques. inhibition efficiency this increases with increase concentration, which offered an up 96%. It found that decreases long immersion time....
