This study, the first in our knowledge, focuses on augmenting adsorption rate of methylene blue (MB) dye by reducing size hydrogel microbeads via electrostatic spraying. At high voltages, a mixture sodium alginate (SA) and carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS) was electrostatically sprayed into HCl to form smaller with crosslinked hydrogen bonds.
