One new species group of the genus Pseudopoda Jäger, 2000 is described from Yunnan Province, China. The daliensis-group includes two known species, daliensis Jäger & Vedel, 2007 (♂♀), kunmingensis Sun Zhang, 2012 and three anguilliformis sp. nov. sicyoidea peronata (♀).
Harmful cyanobacterial blooms occur worldwide and pose a great threat to aquatic ecosystems public health. The application of algicidal bacteria represents an eco-friendly strategy for controlling harmful blooms; thus, searching high efficiency has been becoming important continuous task in science. Herein, we identified bacterial strain coded Streptomyces sp. HY with highly activity, investigated its mechanism against Microcystis aeruginosa. displayed activity toward aeruginosa cells,...
Sparassidae Bertkau, 1872 is the tenth largest family of Araneae, with 11 genera and 288 species known in China. In current paper, four newly-recorded from China are provided: Heteropodaacris Korai & Jäger, 2024, Oliossericeus (Kroneberg, 1875), O.suung 2012 Rhitymnaplana 2003, which O.sericeus re-described, based on specimens collected Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Additionally, a new Thelcticopis species, T.lini sp. nov., described.
With 252 species, Pseudopoda Jäger, 2000, is the largest genus in family Sparassidae and widely distributed South (49 species Bhutan, India, Nepal Pakistan), East (158 China Japan) Southeast Asia (51 Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand Vietnam). Few have been found more than one region. In this paper, three new of are described from Asia. Among them, China: P. fengtongzhaiensis Jäger & Liu, sp. nov. (♀); Laos: baimai Thailand: inthanonensis (♀). Additionally, female kavanaughi Zhang, 2023...
Up to current knowledge, the spider genus Pseudopoda Jäger, 2000 is recorded in South, East and Southeast Asia. Ninety-nine new species are named: P. acris Zhang, Jäger & Liu, spec. nov. (both sexes, Myanmar); acutiformis (male, China); aliena (female, allantoides amphitropa anfracta Vietnam); apiculiformis applanata arta auricularis bachmaensis bacilliformis baoshanensis bazhongensis beibeiensis bifaria India); byssina Thailand); caoi caudata Laos); chiangmaiensis chishuiensis...
Himalayan orogeny and consequent climatic changes, such as the strengthening of Asian monsoon, are considered two main drivers in shaping local biogeography. The mountainous Sinopoda spiders, which widely distributed East Asia Southeast especially abundant mountains near Himalayas, represent an ideal model lineage for investigating This is due to their high diversity, limited dispersal ability, wide elevational distribution, ranging from sea level up 3500 meters. We investigated evolutionary...
Sinopoda spiders are a diverse group with limited dispersal ability. They remarkably sympatric among related species, which often results in misidentification and incorrect matching of sexes. In order to understand the evolutionary relationships revise taxonomy problems this genus, we offer first molecular phylogeny . Our strongly support monophyly its sister relationship Spariolenus reject S. okinawana species group. We establish three new groups based on both morphological data. also...
The huntsman spider genus Pseudopoda Jäger, 2000 contains 140 species worldwide, of which 61 have been described from China. In this paper, knowledge is increased by the description two new Yunnan Province in These species, P. physematosa sp. nov. (♀) and semilunata (♂♀), are treated with five previously ones, bibulba Xu & Yin, signata 2001 wu Li Krehenwinkel, 2015 yinae Jäger Vedel, 2007 (♂), yunnanensis Yang Hu, as newly defined group. group can be distinguished other groups within...
The genus Heteropoda Latreille, 1804, is ranked as the second within family Sparassidae Bertkau, 1872. Up to now, sixteen species of this have been described from Malaysia. A new in highlands Pahang State, Malaysia under name H. lebar sp. nov. . Individuals live primary forests on forest floor, active night leaf litter.
