Recently, resting pressure-derived indexes such as full-cycle ratio (RFR) and diastolic pressure (dPR) have been introduced to assess the functional significance of epicardial coronary stenosis. The present study sought investigate agreement RFR or dPR with other (instantaneous wave-free [iFR] fractional flow reserve), sensitivity for anatomic hemodynamic stenosis severity, prognostic implications compared iFR Methods: were calculated from tracings by an independent core laboratory in 1024...

We evaluated the 2-year clinical outcomes of deferred lesions with discordant results between resting and hyperemic pressure-derived physiologic indices, including distal to aortic coronary pressure (resting Pd/Pa), instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR), full-cycle (RFR), diastolic (dPR), fractional flow reserve (FFR).

Background Nonhyperemic pressure ratios (NHPRs) such as instantaneous wave‐free ratio, resting full‐cycle or diastolic ratio have emerged invasive physiologic indices precluding the need for hyperemic agents. The current study sought to evaluate long‐term prognostic implications of NHPRs compared with fractional flow reserve (FFR). Methods and Results were calculated from tracings by an independent core laboratory in 1024 vessels (435 patients). association between risk 5‐year...

Purpose: Psychophysical and genetic testing provide substantial information about color vision phenotype genotype. However, neither reveals how phenotypes genotypes manifest themselves in individual cones, where its anomalies are thought to originate. Here, we use adaptive-optics phase-sensitive optical coherence tomography (AO-PSOCT) investigate these relationships. Methods: We used AO-PSOCT measure cone function—optical response light stimulation—in each of 16 human subjects with different...

The apolipoprotein B (Apo B), Apo B/A1 ratio, lipoprotein (a), and low-density cholesterol (LDL-C)/Apo ratio are associated with coronary artery disease (CAD). However, the association between these parameters CAD in non-diabetic patients without high LDL-C levels is unclear. Our goal was to assess which parameter most strongly levels. This study included 487 < 130.0 mg/dL. All underwent computed tomographic angiography. We assessed significance of each continuous atherogenic biomarker...

All-optical set-reset flip-flop operations of conventional circular cylindrical-shaped 1.55-μm wavelength single-mode vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) have been demonstrated at a switching frequency 1 GHz based on polarization bistability observed via injection current variation. The energy set and reset pulses was lower than 4.5 fJ bias the VCSEL 4 mA. Polarization bistable VCSELs will be useful for high-speed optical signal processing applications.

Adaptive optics (AO) measures and corrects ocular wavefront aberrations, enabling cellular-resolution retinal imaging stimulation, enhanced visual performance. AO is a dynamic control system that must track correct temporal changes in aberrations real time. This necessitates sensor whose integration time readout are sufficiently short to minimize the latency of feedback hence maximize Most current ophthalmic systems use long times on order 10−60 ms, resulting latencies, low loop rates...
