Characteristics of atrial fibrillation pathogenesis in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease are discussed. The impact treatment on the onset and course fibrillation, as well approaches to this category also considered.
The paper aimed to present evidence of the effect some pathophysiological features chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) on cardiac remodeling in patients free overt cardiovascular diseases, traditional risk factors and hypertension. Contrary beliefs that abnormalities COPD have been mainly associated with right ventricle, several recent studies shown an independent hyperinflation emphysema left ventricular (LV) diastolic filling LV hypertrophy. Pulmonary cause intrathoracic...
Aim. To study the relationships between clinical and functional features of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) status cardiovascular system with focus on identifying factors associated atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients COPD. Material methods. Patients (n=94) COPD out exacerbation airways obstruction 2-4 degree (GOLD 2013) were examined. The spirometry, daily pulse oximetry, 24-hour ECG blood pressure monitoring vascular wall stiffness estimation, echocardiography performed....
Churg-Strauss syndrome is a rare autoimmune disease with small-vessel vasculitis. We report case of 60-year-old man. The presence hypereosinophilia, asthma, sinusitis and extravascular eosinophil accumulation led to the diagnosis syndrome. patient was effectively treated methylprednisolone, cyclophosphamide.
The great prevalence of comorbidities, such as arterial hypertension (AH) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), generates a need to study the impact COPD on pathogenesis, course, clinical picture associated cardiovascular diseases. paper analyzes data available in literature pathogenesis course patients with COPD. also gives authors’ clinicofunctional pathophysiological features AH findings suggest that group has vascular organ dysfunction may both play role presence prevent high...
The problem of chronic tonsillitis (CT), its complications and associated diseases with positions ENT doctor cardiologist. etiology pathogenesis are also presented, as well chemotherapy clinical manifestations conjugate pathology. A modern classification CT is presented. We consider the diagnosis related diseases.
Published data often contain conflicting views on the relationship of retina changes in arterial hypertension (HT) with cardiovascular disorders and target organs lesions. Along classification pathophysiology hypertensive retinopathy, evidence for its association HT course, organ lesions prognosis is presented. Functional eyes point at involvement into pathological process even early stages are able to reflect severity hypertension. This supports a close eye disease as organ. Available...
Aim. To study effect of antihypertensive therapy with amlodipine maleat (Stamlo® M, “Dr. Reddy’s”, India) on morphofunctional heart indices, intensity systemic inflammation and oxidative stress in patients arterial hypertension (HT) chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Material methods . 20 COPD II-III stage (GOLD 2006) remission HT 1-2 were involved the study. Morphofunctional respiratory function, levels C-reactive protein (CRP) (lipid peroxidation products (LPP) –...
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is associated with important chronic comorbid diseases. Arterial hypertension (AH) one of the most frequently occurring comorbidity in COPD. This study was conducted to assess clinical, functional and pathophysiological characteristics patients co-existing COPD AH hypertensive patients. Marked differences have been found among groups. These results suggest that there a subset who may represent distinct phenotype.
Aim. To study the retina state by functional methods in patients with arterial hypertension (HT) of various degrees. Material and methods. Patients uncomplicated HT 1-3 degrees (n=81) healthy subjects (n=20) control group were examined. Routine (direct ophthalmoscopy) (evaluation contrast color sensitivity retina, electroretinography) used. Results. Functional retinal changes (reduction sensitivity) progressed increasing degree. These located area central artery (paramacular area) choroidal...
The paper provides a review of prevalence and outcomes cardiovascular comorbidities in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). From clinical patient-centered perspective, COPD phenotype should be able to classify into distinct subgroups that provide prognostic information allow better determine appropriate therapy alters clinically meaningful outcomes. It is hypothesized both artherial hypertension (AH) have common pathway linking these explaining why they significantly...
The review is devoted to the modern data about mechanisms of cardiovascular dysfunction in patients suffering diabetes mellitus type 2, especially role oxidative stress. It determined that stress involved development myocardial ischemia, reperfusion-syndrome, endothelial and atherogenesis. There are angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor, zofenopril, has both cardio- vasoprotective activities as well antioxidative effect. These features rationales use it with ischemic heart disease mellitus.

Currently, a greater emphasis is placed on the search for additional biomarkers of chronic heart failure (CHF). Galectin-3, marker fibrosis and inflammation, has shown himself as biomarker CHF in many studies, but dynamics its levels patients with concomitant diabetes mellitus (DM) type 2 not well-studied. Aim. To identify diagnostic significance galectin-3 plasma level evaluation correlations echocardiographic criteria DM 2. Material methods. The study included 33 ischemic (all had history...
