Abstract Silicon carbide (SiC) is an ideal substrate for manufacturing high-power electronic devices and microwave has broad application prospects. The surface treatment of SiC wafers plays a critical role faces challenges in the semiconductor industry. Among multiple methods, laser-based method gradually attracted attention scholars. Therefore, this research uses femtosecond laser to ablate 4H–SiC sliced analyzes influence key parameters, such as pulse energy, defocus amount, repetition...

Nd:LuAG (Nd:Lu3Al5O12) crystal was grown by the Czochralski method. X-ray powder diffraction experiments show that crystallizes in cubic with space group Ia3d and has cell parameter: a = 1.1907 nm, V 1.6882 nm3. The absorption fluorescence spectra of at room temperature were investigated. With fiber-coupled diode laser as pump source, continuous-wave (CW) action demonstrated. maximum output power 1064 nm obtained to be 3.8 W under incident 17.3 W, optical conversion efficiency 22.0% slope 25.7%.

Abstract Piezoresistivity of B- and P-doped epitaxial Si1-xGex (x=10-30%) is investigated to assess its application potential for thin film strain sensors. The gauge factor (GF) calculated based on the change in resistivity externally induced compressive uniaxial along current flow direction. In case B-doped SiGe, decreases under which may be related hole mobility enhancement, while no influence SiGe. A significant increase GF observed by lowering B concentration. At same concentration,...

We have experimentally demonstrated a diode-pumped passively mode-locked Nd:CaNb2O6 laser for the first time to our best knowledge. With semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM) as passive mode locker, generated stable pulses with pulse duration of 17.3 ps and repetition rate 88.4 MHz. singe-emitter diode pumping, maximum average output power was 0.843 W, slope efficiency 23%. The experimental results show crystal is promising gain medium picosecond generation.

Silicon carbide single crystal (SiC) has been widely used in the field of power devices, while it is difficult to fabricate ultra-flat surface by traditional manufacturing technologies due its difficult-to-machine property. This paper investigates interaction process during femtosecond laser ablation crystalline silicon based on two-temperature model simulation and experimental study. The findings reveal that parameters such as pulse energy, scanning interval, defocus amount exert...
