There are contradictory results in the literature relating to effect oftamoxifen on membrane fluidity. The present work investigates dynamics find out whether concentration can be one of factors this discrepancy. Turbidity(absorbance at 440 nm) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopicstudies reveal that tamoxifen causes opposite effects membranefluidity low (1 mol.%) high (30 concentrations. Lowtamoxifen concentrations increase absorbance gel liquidcrystalline phase, whereas decrease...
Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopic studies show that low concentrations of vitamin D 2 (1 and 3 mol %) does not induce significant change in the overall shape thermotropic profile dipalmitoyl phosphatidylcholine (DPPC) membrane. In contrast, at higher (9 12 %), phase transition shifts to lower temperatures a broadening curve is also observed. Low concentration decreases frequency CH stretching mode, implying an ordering effect, whilst high disorders system. Furthermore, concentrations,...
Tamoxifen (TAM) is a non-steroidal antiestrogen drug, which widely used to prevent and treat breast, liver, pancreas brain cancers. The present work investigates, in detail, the concentration dependent behavior of TAM (varying from 1 mol% 45 mol%) on membrane fluidity. differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) studies showed that tamoxifen eliminates pre-transition decreases main phase transition lower temperatures. Using visible spectroscopy at 440 nm Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) it was...
Binary and tertiary mixture of α-tocophenol, cholesterol dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine in the form multilamellar liposomes were investigated by Fourier Transform Infrared visible spectroscopy. Results FTIR turbidity experiments indicate that α T decreases or diminishes effect on frequency bandwidth C-H stretching, CH2 scissoring C=O stretching bands spectra measurements (recorded as absorbance values at 440 nm) phospholipid model membranes.
In the present study, ionic effect of salt addition to a lyotropic liquid crystal (LLC) system was investigated. NH4Br added TTAB + water decanol ternary and structural changes in phases were characterized. First, phase transitions illustrated by polarized microscope secondary, small-angle x-ray scattering used as an analytical method determine nano-structured mesophases newly prepared samples. The expected fibrous structures characterized form factor polydisperse oblate ellipsoids....
