We consider the problem of deployment cameras inside a complex indoor setting for surveillance applications. formulate minimum guarding network that places number satisfying both visual coverage domain and wireless connectivity. prove finding in geometric discrete is NP-hard. also give 2-approximation algorithm to network. Motivated by connection this with watchman tour art gallery problem, we develop two algorithms generate satisfactory results prototype testbed our simulations.

Many data-intensive applications collect (structured) data from a variety of sources. A key task in this process is record linkage, which the problem determining records these sources that refer to same real-world entities. Traditional approaches use representation entities accomplish task. With nascence social media, on Web are now accompanied by user generated content. We present method for linkage uses hitherto untapped source entity information. document-based distances, with an emphasis...

We introduce DebugSL, a visual (Web) debugging tool for sentiment lexicons (SLs). Its core component implements our algorithms the automatic detection of polarity inconsistencies in SLs. An inconsistency is set words and/or word-senses whose assignments cannot all be simultaneously satisfied. DebugSL finds small sizes SLs and has rich user interface which helps users correction process. The project source code available at https://github.com/atschneid/DebugSL A screencast can viewed...

System deployments of IoT systems have drawn research attention, because it is very challenging to meet both physical and cyber constraints in real systems. In this article, we consider the problem deploying wireless camera networks inside a complex indoor setting for surveillance applications. We formulate minimum connected guarding network whose objective place number cameras satisfying visual coverage domain connectivity. prove that finding NP-hard geometric discrete settings. also give...
