Tree ring analysis provides useful data for dendrochnologists that can help them better understanding of climatic and environmental changes. Yet detection counting rings in cross section tree were realized manually which is time consuming tedious work. Our research was motivated by the need a fast accurate method. This paper describes semi automatic approach areas measurement based on 2D gray scale image analysis. Best results are obtained with developed procedures. A newly algorithm well...
