Ga-PSMA PET/CT is the upcoming imaging modality for staging, restaging and response assessment of prostate cancer. However, due to neuroendocrine differentiation in some patients with cancer, they express somatostatin receptors instead specific membrane antigen. This can be exploited other modalities like Ga-DOTANOC F-FDG should used such cases guiding management. We hereby discuss a similar case 67-year-old man adenocarcinoma differentiation, which shows potential pitfall benefit cases.

Extragonadal choriocarcinoma in men is an extremely rare and highly aggressive malignancy. Inconclusive biopsies due to a high necrotic component often delay diagnosis. Here such case, which suggestive imaging findings on [18F]FDG PET/CT, raised level of serum β-human chorionic gonadotropin, gynecomastia clinched the

Aim To evaluate the utility of lower extremity 99mTc-MIBI imaging as a noninvasive correlate to functional capacity. Materials and methods Patients referred for stress myocardial perfusion with no known history peripheral artery disease (PAD) were included in study. scintigraphy was performed calf muscles at rest. Perfusion reserve (PR) bilateral calves calculated as: (average counts–average rest counts)/average counts × 100. Correlation PR assessed functional/exercise capacity [metabolic...

Objective: Evaluation of utility fluorine-18 fludeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography/CT (PET/CT) for restaging patients with primary malignant germ cell tumours (GCTs). Methods: Data 92 (age, 31.94 ± 10.1 years; male/female, 86/6) histopathologically confirmed GCTs (gonadal, 88; mediastinal, 4; seminomatous, 47 and non-seminomatous, 45) who underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT (suspected recurrence/post-therapy evaluation) were retrospectively analysed. Two experienced nuclear medicine...

Aim In this study, we investigated the relationship of cerebral tau deposition ( 18 F-tau-AD-ML 104 PET/CT) with glucose metabolism F-FDG and cognitive function in patients Alzheimer disease (AD). Patients Methods Seventy subjects (Mini Mental State Examination [MMSE] score <18 = 37 [AD]; MMSE score, 18–24 16 [early AD]) 17 controls were included study. All participants underwent detailed neurological neuropsychological evaluation, followed by PET/CT imaging. Region-wise SUV max ratios at...

The prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is highly expressed in prostate cancer cells. Few other malignancies have shown expression of PSMA. We present a case 35-year-old man with medullary thyroid carcinoma, post total thyroidectomy and bilateral neck dissection, now presenting rising calcitonin levels (doubling time 9 months) local recurrence negative I-MIBG scan. decided to perform Ga-PSMA-HBED-CC PET/CT scan assess PSMA explore the therapeutic option view serum calcitonin. Superscan is a well-known finding described in skeletal scintigraphy characterized by intense radiotracer uptake axial skeleton and decreased soft tissues kidneys. Metabolic superscan has also been 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed (CT) various conditions. We describe here case of 12-year-old boy who presented with scalp swelling, progressive pallor, easy fatigability, poor appetite, fever for 6 months. The initial diagnosis was inconclusive. 18F-FDG...

In vitro and in vivo studies have demonstrated prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) expression various malignant benign tumors. Based on the recent immunohistochemical study showing PSMA adenocarcinoma of urinary bladder, we hypothesized that bladder can be using Ga-PSMA 11 PET/CT. We present a man with exstrophy presenting referred for staging Both F-FDG Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT were done, which showed primary tumor as well metastatic lymph nodes.

Primary leiomyosarcoma of bone (PLB) is a rare tumor, constituting <0.7% all primary malignancies. It clinically aggressive with heterogeneous presentation and dismal prognosis. The most common pain swelling pathological fracture at times. Limited literature available on PLB only about 150 cases have been reported to date few case reports defining the utility 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (18-F FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET-CT) in its management. Abstract Peritoneal cancer index is an integral parameter for preoperative assessment of peritoneal disease. Current imaging modalities including 18 F-FDG PET/CT, though superior to CT, underestimate the disease extent, mainly due its high physiological background activity. Novel “cancer integrin” targeting with 68 Ga-trivehexin demonstrates limited activity in abdomen target-to-background ratio than PET/CT. Thus, we describe first case demonstrating potential utility novel αvβ6 agent burden...

Abstract 68 Ga-Trivehexin is a novel radiotracer binding to “cancer-specific integrin αvβ6.” has high specificity for tumor cells and, thus, the potential replace 18 F-FDG PET/CT due its limited in head and neck cancer. Here, we present one case of papillary thyroid carcinoma, where PET CT demonstrated accurate staging compared with PET/CT.

Abstract Medulloblastoma, also known as cerebellar primitive neuroectodermal tumor, is the most common brain tumor in children and arises posterior cranial fossa. We present case of a patient with desmoplastic type medulloblastoma, which showed recurrence more than once.
