Abstract To date, former research about the impact of HIV infection on mpox poor outcomes is still limited and controversial. Therefore, aim this study was to assess clinical course mpox, in a large population patients from Spain. Nationwide case‐series study. Patients 18 Spanish hospitals, with PCR‐confirmed April 27, 2022 June 30, 2023 were included The main outcome development long or complicated (LC) defined as: (i) duration ≥ 28 days, or; (ii) disseminated disease, or: (iii) emergence...
Metal nanoparticles are widely used in different areas such as biotechnology and biomedicine, for example drug delivery, imaging control of bacterial growth. The antimicrobial effect silver has been identified an alternative approach to the increasing resistance antibiotics. Silver were synthesized by green route using Geranium extract a reducing agent. characterization was carried out techniques UV-Vis spectrophotometry, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high-resolution (HRTEM), X-ray...
SUMMARY In a 1-year survey at university hospital we found that 20·6% (81/392) of patients with antibiotic associated diarrohea where positive for C. difficile . The most common PCR ribotypes were 012 (14·8%), 027 (12·3%), 046 (12·3%) and 014/020 (9·9). incidence rate was 2·6 cases infection every 1000 outpatients.
In patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) chronic infection and advanced liver disease, the impact of human immunodeficiency (HIV) coinfection on clinical outcome after sustained virological response (SVR) has not been sufficiently clarified. The aim this study was to compare mortality SVR bearing HCV fibrosis, without HIV-coinfection a prolonged follow-up.
