Tuberculosis (TB) is a chronic infectious disease that has been threatening public health for many centuries. The clinical diagnostic procedure TB time-consuming and laborious. In the last 20 years, real-time fluorescence-based quantitative PCR (real-time PCR) become better alternative diagnosis in clinics due to its sensitivity specificity. Recently, digital droplet (ddPCR) developed, it might be an ideal conventional microorganism detection. this study, we aimed assess capacity of ddPCR...
West Nile virus causes fatal encephalitis in humans, mice, and other vertebrates. In the present study, we demonstrate that small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) inhibit replication vitro. Moreover, administration of siRNAs to mice by hydrodynamic injection 24 h before challenge with an intraperitoneal inoculum reduced viral load afforded partial protection from lethal infection. These data show efficacy prophylactic use against a infection vivo suggest new strategies combat virus.
Lyme arthritis results from colonization of joints by Borrelia burgdorferi and the ensuing host response. Using gene array–based differential analysis B. expression quantitative reverse trancription-polymerase chain reaction, we identified two paralogous spirochete genes, bmpA bmpB, that are preferentially up-regulated in mouse compared with other organs. Transfer affinity-purified antibodies against either BmpA or BmpB into burgdorferi–infected mice selectively reduced numbers inflammation...
This study focused on the relationships among gut microbiota, plasma protein ratios, and tuberculosis. Given unclear causal relationship between microbiota tuberculosis scarcity of research relevant ratios in tuberculosis, Mendelian randomization analysis (MR) was employed for in-depth exploration. By analyzing GWAS data individuals with European ancestry (the FinnGen dataset included 409,568 controls 2613 cases), using two-sample MR method, we evaluating impact immunocyte-mediated...
(1) Background: Sleep quality is closely related to the physical and mental health of college students. The objectives this study were obtain data on sleep university students investigate relationship between intestinal flora improvement in through exercise intervention. (2) Methods: Here, 11 with a body mass index (BMI) ≤ 18 Pittsburgh Quality Index (PSQI) ≥ 7 selected as experimental subjects, another healthy people recruited control subjects. group each intervened for 8 weeks. We used...
Given the limited research and its potential hazards, study aimed to determine prevalence of Mediterranean spotted fever (MSF) caused by Rickettsia conorii (R. conorii), a tick-borne disease, in Yunnan Province, China. Through stratified sampling across five distinct regions Yunnan, 5358 blood samples were obtained from general healthy population. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), indirect immunofluorescence (IFA), Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) employed for analysis. IFA...
