The current study presents a meta-analytic review of the differences between men and women in cognitive reflection (CR). also explores whether type CR test (i.e., numerical tests verbal tests) moderates relationship sex. results showed that score higher than on CR, although magnitude these was small. We found out sex especially tests. In addition, length number items) does not affect CR. Finally, implications are discussed, future research is suggested.
Research has shown that faking behavior affects the factor structure of single-stimulus (SS) personality measures. However, no published research analyzed effects this phenomenon on forced-choice (FC) inventories. This study examines faking, induced in a laboratory setting, construct validity quasi-ipsative FC inventory based Five-Factor Model. It also moderator effect type experimental design (between-subject and within-subject design) analyses. The results showed (a) data fit to...
The main goal of the current study is to broaden knowledge on association between personality, subjective well-being (SWB) and technostress in an academic context. This research specifically examines prevalence a European university sample. It also explores relationship its dimensions with Big Five model personality SWB affective cognitive components. Finally, combined predictive validity tested. sample was composed 346 undergraduate students. Correlational multiple regression analyses were...
This research examines the convergent-discriminant and predictive validity of Big Five personality dimensions assessed with two different formats inventories: a single-stimulus (SS) quasi-ipsative forced-choice (FC). The relationship between both types measures intelligence (GMA) was also analyzed. results showed that: (1) SS FC present high validity; (2) dimensions, questionnaires, GMA are independent constructs; (3) have similar for three criteria examined (academic performance, training...
To date, experimental research on the effect of faking personality measures has used two types designs: within-subject designs and between-subjects designs. None these permit us to control for effects transient error faking. Using a Latin-square design (LSD), current study examines Big Five as assessed by quasi-ipsative forced-choice (FC) inventory. LSD is type that simultaneously permits between-subject differences, variability, error. The sample consisted 246 participants (four groups,...

Abstract Objectives: Persons with schizophrenia, schizoaffective, or bipolar I disorder are more likely to die by suicide compared the general population. Dysfunctional attitudes have been shown be significant predictors of cognitive vulnerability depression, hopelessness, and poor problem‐solving skills, which predict suicidal ideation. common in persons schizophrenia spectrum disorders (SSDs) I. The Reasons for Living Inventory (RFLI) examines distinct reasons not dying suicide. This...
For over 100 years, non-human primates (primates) have been a part of the now hundred-billion-dollar global film industry in variety capacities. Their use is concern due to negative welfare effects on individuals, potential for increased pet trade, and conservation impacts public perception. While human perception using live studied, little research has performed their appearance animation none computer-generated imagery (CGI). We aimed investigate how portrayal varied between depiction...
Faking behavior is one of the main problems personality measures. For this reason, determining potential effects faking on assessment procedures relevant. The aim study has been to examine impact faking, induced in a laboratory setting, predictive validity quasi-ipsative forced-choice (FC) inventory based five-factor model. It also examined whether magnitude varied depending type criteria analyzed (self-reported performance ratings and grade point average). participants were 939 students...
Forty-four depressed and non-depressed mothers participated in a videotaped interaction with their own infant then rated the videotape using Infant Stereotyping Scale Interaction Rating Scale. In addition, one half of an unfamiliar who was labelled psychologically ‘depressed’ other same no label given. Both more negatively than non-labelled on attributes physical potency, cognitive competence, sociability difficult behaviour. Physical appearance only rating that not biased by label. Mothers'...
